Cinny, you're looking very trim in your blog piccies :) I think you are such a pretty lady, at whatever size.

N'awh, shucks! Thanks Lara, but then you are gorgeous yourself!

as I think Martin might argue these are 'good debt'.

This is the thing I don't like about Martin Lewis. There is no such thing as good debt. Secured debt maybe, but no debt is good. That and his obsession with credit rating. No, I don't want a credit card Lewis! I only need a credit rating if I want to borrow - which I don't.

I'm with you on the new format Birdie. But I like that they're using more current songs, although that girl band totally butchered Super Bass. That was painful. I'm really not bothered now Amelias gone, I wanted her to win! It was that Army guy, Two Shoes, the only cute boy with the guitar and then Amelia who went though. Look at me, all clued up on names!

Sleeepy today. My Brother came over for coffee at 7:45 last night an stayed until gone 11pm watch WWE dvds. Then Rich wanted me to cut his hair, then I was all awake!

I missed Amelia's song, turned it on right after she'd finished! That poor army guy, I was cringing when he was on; you can totally tell which group Louis has because he just breaks them! It's fair enough to say that he picked his own song, but the acts are used to singing kareoke, Louis is supposed to tell them what sounds good in a real live show! But then again this is the guy who brought us Wagner and Jedward so maybe I set my standards too high? ;)

I agree that a car loan isn't 'good debt', the only 'good debt' IMO is a mortgage because in theory you're supposed to make money on your house, although that's gone a bit t!t's up in the last few years! Would like to know what fancy your OH got though TPA? Facing the fact that we might have to get a new (old) car at some point, mine just does not seem happy even after getting looked at by professionals for a pretty penny and OH just can't get on with it! Need to start entering more competitons to win one! :)

I think for most people they'd count their morgage as 'not really debt' if that makes sense, as you have to pay to live somewhere. For us our house costs about £145 a month more than renting a similar house, but the security is worth that for me after my history with landlords!

Just totted up my mystery shops for the week and I stand to be £111 in profit (excluding purchases which will also be reimbursed and I'll get things to sell on or things we need (case in point last night at asda we got £1 worth of sponges as it was £1 reimbursement). So, that's one day of our £104 a day 'earned', returning all the things to next with labels still on will be another two days, selling my phone is just over half a day... granted it won't always be the case that I can return things or have quick wins like my phone to send off, but I'll take them right now to get moving in the right direction and then at the weekend I can face that old nemesis - ebay.

NIM is in court today, I'm all gibbery, if this goes as badly as possible we'll be another £4k in debt.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

Thought I mareswell mention if you go back far enough on my blog (6 or so pages perhaps) there's an actual video of the actual me actually talking. To say we've been talking on here for a good 3 years I thought it'd be nice if you could put a voice to the text!

I watched it last night, you're such a cutie just like I imagined! And you talk with your hands so much, that's so Cinny! :D

I watched x factor on Saturday and now I'll be addicted til the end :o Janet's my fave :) But I agree I don't like how they just seem to slow songs down. And that girl who sang Adele has a brilliant voice but no-one should be made to sing Adele, you just can't compete!

Really hope that the court case goes well, do you know what time it'll be done by? Sending happy vibes!

Sounds like a good money Monday Dinah! Up up up! Bring that debt down down down! :D

Will have a look at your blog tonight Cinny, although you'll have a nice purple tinge as OH made the screen even worse last night then declared it b*ggered!

  • Is this the court case for the builders? Or the car crash - whatever happened with that? Fingers crossed for you whatever it is!

Excuuuuse me. Jedward are nothing short of amazing! I actually love them. Legit!

Hope things go in your favor today Dinah (and NIM, so he doesn't feel left out :p) Is this the builder thing again or have I missed something? An adding 4k is never welcome, but even more so right now :( But happy thoughts, things will be okay!

Haha, thanks Tete! I don't think I talk with my hands so much as fling them around. I was talking to OH this morning and properly grabbed my hands together and swung them out like I was playing rounders. Even I had to stop then and wonder what I was doing! And I wouldn't worry Birdie, I'm so amazingly white on the video I'll just come out normal coloured!

Good luck with the court case today.

AS for the x factor I am still upset that Jade didn't get through. I quite like the band the risk, but i am a bit of a boyband fan hehe.

OH is back at work today after 11 days off. He was being a great househusband yesterday. He cleaned the kitchen, helped me do the shopping, made lasagne for dinner and washed up and even got Poppy to sleep!

Yep it was the builders. So fingers crossed.

Not sure which car crash Tete? I had one about 7 years ago which settled during my first diary, or do you mean when NIM went into the back of that other car? If so we never heard any more about that one.

  • Yeah that's the one, I thought 'crash' was putting it a bit strongly. 'Shunt' would have been better maybe but didn't come to me!
