No news really, but if we don't pay in full within a month we get a CCJ. Doesn't seem fair. It sounds like it's unlikely to go our way, plus his costs and his litigants seem to be about £200 each and this is the second day in court so that's another £800 whacked on top plus interest. It really does start to get to the point where all the little moneysaving ways seem completely redundant in the face of a huge tidal wave like this which hits.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aww man that really stinks.
I hope that at least you don't have to pay the full whack.
Please don't let this get you down too much, keep plodding away and believe that the good/bad balance will right itself- something good will come your way and something bad will smack the builder right in the chops! If you give me his name I could even do the smacking...Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Oh no, is it looking like the full £4k then?
That's terrible. Do you have anything left in savings (I remember you having several ISAs not long back) so at least you're not adding to the debt? I guess, trying to be positive, whatever you have to pay at least it's happening now when you're totalling all your debt up and having almost a LBM#2, rather than a few months down the line when it would be putting you back where you started after having worked to pay some off? You know sort of psychologically better to get it all totted up at the start and then you'll only ever see it come down?

Feels like it's going up! I don't know what its going to come to, but NIMs dad has said we can borrow the money to avoid a ccj.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Better to go up now though than further doen the line when you've already paid some off is what I mean - that would be so disheartening (even more so than this). That's kind of NIMs Dad, definitely do that rather than CCJ even if you have to prioritise paying him back over what the snowball says. Ooh the builder's whispering antics annoy me even more nowWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
