think I did about the same with DD and she was 7lb 11ozs!! I'm thinking that girls make you put on more weight than boys. My mum says it's the other way around but it definately hasn't been that way for me

Maybe first babies have you gaining more weight?

Had a nap this afternoon as STILL full of cold (3 weeks on this cold, had that chest infection just before that as well) and feel a bit better for it. Worryingly my heart rate was 107 when I woke up though.

Have got a few (read about 50) more books and bits of software on Amazon this afternoon, decided against sticking those at 1p on RISI, because it costs to swap, going to sell them in lots on ebay of 5 fiction, 5 craft, 5 cooking etc.

EDIT- Right I'm going to get Beauty and the Beast because I've never seen it (I know!) and I've always like the look of the singing crockery. But for my second DVD I'm torn between Bambi, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland ... recommendations?

What?! HOW haven't you seen one of the greatest Disney movies ever?! One of my top 5, it's wonderful! Buy it, watch it, report back! :) For the other one get Tangled, I love that movie! I was sooooo excited to meet Rapunzel at Disney World :D

Well done on listing all that Dinah! Now relax! Please? NIM can do all the jobs you've got planned tonight I'm sure ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Just a flying post to say Dinah, relax. Please, pretty pretty please. Curl up with NIM and watch a movie again. Just something and I will personally worry about your blood pressure for you to take that load off. Hope you're feeling okay.

Hi everyone, not been around for a bit as things have been manic but it's the fashion show fundraiser tomorrow so hopefully after that things will calm down a bit. Not doing too great on my goals for October!

    Hi All!
Flower lovely to hear you're doing well and that baby Noah is sleeping well I can't wait until your more settled and we can have some pics!!

Dinah I second Cinny and I hope you are taking some time to relax!! Your bp is a serious condition and you need to look after your health! I know that it is stressful trying to pay off your debts etc but i think that a month or 2 extra won't be that bad in the grand scheme of things...£104/day is a very ambitious target - its more than I earn in my job! so maybe relaz the pressure a bit and see if it has a positive effect on your BP? I know you want to clear it quickly for plenty of reasons but it doesn't warrant a health deteriation. Also, I don't know if you've said before and I know the market is rough but what about switching jobs? I know youre in the council but have you or nim been promoted or anything recently? is there any scope for promotion or other jobs in the fileds because that would surely be the easier way to clear the debts? Trying to get OH earning at the moment is not going too well.. most of his money goes on food and travel and things like phone bills etc with little left to help me with the rent etc. I think he's paying too much tax though so may let that go on for the remainder of this short term contract and then at least when he asks for it he will have a lump sum (im only talking about £200ish but that would help us out quite significantly) and maybe it could go towards savings as while we are stretched, we are staying afloat but we are trying to stash a little extra away for long term house deposit style savings!

I also am wondering how tall you girlies are? because on the photos I've seen, none of you look big but I feel huge and I weigh about 123lbs and I'm average height I would say! I know lots of people have had babies/are pregannt though!
The shred has not happened this week but I'm hoping to get back on it at the weekend. Also healthy eating has gone out of the window for this week which is a bit annoying but it doesn't happen very often so ho-hum! Good luck to your OH Cinny on the dieting thing, I've got mine on board (about as much as me but Im not v committed yet!) and we are trying to tone up together!

I hope the fashion show goes well dippy! is this for the thing we signed the petition for?

Birdie what other christmas presents are you planning on making? I'm very impressed but this year I doubt I'll even have time for shopping :( I hope everyone has ideas of things they would like and I hope those things can be bought online! (hoping for some good grabbits too potentially..)! I have picked up a few things already though because it's easier to buy things when I see them and try to save them for Christmas!

Dinah also I may have mentioned before and I dont know who your phone is with but Orange said a few months ago that they give you 25% off contracts if you are various things, including working for the government - this might help when you have to renew because surely orange wont be the only people doing this kind of offer..!oh and you get it for friends and family too.

Has anyone done the santander £100 to switch by the way? I could do with some opinions!

hope you had a good birthday Wendz!

phew! back to the books I think!

Good luck with that Cinny, she won't relax...pretty much ever.

My issue is I'm in the middle of job x and she reminds me that job y needs doing, which it does and I had forgotten about / wasnt aware of as I'm a bloke and therefore oblivious to the world. So I go and start on job y...then hear of job z and so on, eventually get job z done, go back and finish job y but x is forgotten about. started using to do lists but they only do so much.

On an unrelated note got quotes for fixing the key marks in the car door, £250 plus. Apparently as its silver they need to blend it to both of the connected pannels. Anyone know anything about this kinda thing?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

I really did try to relax, but I'm clearly not very good at it, and NIM needs a lot of input at the moment as I try to hand some of my must do's over to him. Like ebay things already listed, and the business. Would love to think in a week or two he won't need me so much and I won't feel so guilty about doing nothing.

I've been promised a promotion when another officer retires, but that's not for another 18 months. It will mean I get a little rise and will be on nearly £33,000 which is as good as I can hope for at this age in my profession. I don't want to leave the council atm as the maternity and family policies are fantastic (and my council is in profit in my team, where the one nearer home is making 8 redundancies next year). NIM is keen to find a new job and has applied for dozens over the last few months, but hasn't got one yet. He's now applying for Christmas retail work just to help for a few months, which might lead to something more permanent. We don't plan on him doing all the crazy extra work once we have the debt cleared, but the stress of that probably isn't helping. I was pleasantly surprised to find somehow this month we had about £400 left after our wages.

I'm 5"7 but 140lbs - smallest I've been was 119lbs and I felt like I would briuse if someone hugged me too hard!

Thanks for the phone thing Tink, I actually just went to T-mobile as even with the 25% off Orange were still coming in about £6 a month more expensive for the package I was after.

I've applied for the Santander switch as we get £200 given our mortgage is with them, they asked for more details though so nothing done yet. Would only use it as a bills account.
