I don't think that dress will be in a MSEers budget for some reason! I agree about bringing back DOTD though... I've been moaning about this for ages and the brides just aren't playing ball!
A girl from work has just invited me to a James Bond party next Friday. Should be good, you all know I love an excuse to dress up!I'm going to have to go wardrobe shopping for an outift though, surely just a fancy dress and red lips will make a sufficent Bond girl costume, right?!
Want to hear more about your shopping bargains CMD!We won't be doing much shopping this time. We've got enough money to have 2 weeks of good food and drink and some souvenirs, but there's not a lot left over for 'proper' shopping.
Not too bothered as I don't want to get much; I just want to have an awesome time with my lovely hubby!
Great haggling from your OH ROTE! I always forget to ask for discounts but it shows how one little question can save you loads of money! :TOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I have been rather busy tiling the bathroom floor. Well that's not quite right, I haven't actually started the tilling part yet. I have laid the insulation and put down the under floor heating and it should be ready to start tiling tonight.
I was very proud of OH at the weekend when he managed to get 35 pound off the tiles. He just asked the topps tiles man 'so what's the best price you can do". It didn't even cross my mind to ask, so it just shows you. OH said "see I am getting better at this money saving thing". Bless him, he managed to get 150 pound off field gates last month.
Tops are good that way, great place to haggle, got a tenner off when I got the tiles and bits for doing the new splashback in the kitchen.
I'm impressed that your laying the tiles rather than himself ROTE. Tis normally himself would be doing that, it'd be me in my houseThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

Ooh, I'll have to give it a search! I have the Pink Pad App at the moment and that's it really, just to keep a track on things. OH is overly confident we've nailed it already though, bless him.
Shame about the houses, ShrimpyI'm sure you'll find something even more perfect in time. Hope the viewing goes well tonight!
Can't believe you're almost back on holiday again, Birdie! Doesn't seem two seconds since you booked it - what's on the plan for this time? Other than resisting a cloak
Just had my Brother come into work all shifty and "Don't tell Mum.." He's got a dog! An 8 month old border collie, they've called her Cassie. She's very cute, and super tiny! Just hope they have time for her.
Ohh, and I forgot to mention. My cousin got his first modelling/acting job! Not 100% sure if it's for TV or just an online campaign but I'm stupidly proud of him so I'll no doubt be spamming you all with it as soon as I can0 -

Is that the guy with the crazy OH?This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Is that the guy with the crazy OH?
Yes! She seems a little less crazy recently though from what I've heard, and I actually got an actual apology from her actual mouth for how she's treated me in the past. But if I'm entirely honest, I'm keeping my distance. An apology meant I could put the past where it belongs and I don't need to stress her being at family things, but that's it.
To the crafty ladies! It's my Dad's birthday next Tuesday, his present is going to Dublin in December but I want to have something to give him on the day. I was thinking of getting some of those £1 jars from Asda and making treats to go inside.. but what?!0 -
Birdie you have twisted my arm! The dress is this with this colour petticoat underneath (although with fewer layers) and a matching pink sash. I don't think the pictures really do it justice, but it was a bargain on eBay so I figured I can always resell it if I decide against it. But I really love it 'in the flesh'! Please be gentle!
Also - I just noticed it is called 'Grace'
Also, I want some pink shoes to wear with it, if anyone spots a bargain let me know! With a heel but not too high. Maybe I should lay down a shoe of the day challenge...?
Cinny - please trade a puppy picture! Your bro will know how much time and attention they need I'm sure - although I thought his gf was mean to Ryder...? Cinny, the plan is bascially to eat and drink our way through Disney World (which I'm sure you'd approve of!)!
Whilst we're there the Epcot Food and Wine festival is on which is amazing, best night of our holiday last year and we're hoping to go twice this time (before it ends on the 11th
). Its at the world Showcase which is set around a big lake and there are 30 stalls from different countries with tasters of food, wine and beer specific to each country. Not cheap but great fun, we're going to go clockwise one day and anti-clockwise the other to try and get to as many stalls as we can!
We missed out on a lot of the Disney-at-night stuff last time as we had to rely on the free bus to get us back to our hotel (the latest one being 6pm!) or pay $30 for a taxi so we're looking forward to making use of the free transport and staying for the fireworks every night and going to Downtown Disney on an evening. Should be great! We've also booked a taxi transfer from the airport so we should be at our hotel about 2 hours earlier than we would be if we'd taken the bus which makes a massive difference after being sat on a plane for 9 hours! :j Ahhh can't wait!!!!
Love the dress Shrimpy! So pretty! And an excellent excuse for fabulous shoes as they'll be on display!
How many dogs are in your family now Cinny?! Will you please send Percy to me? I really want a pug!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh, and crafty-wise... If you want a treats-in-a-jar thing, old fashioned sweets go down well with older men! Maybe foam teeth since he's so old he needs falsies etc?!
Or... taking a different route, last year I made my Dad a subway art style print just using MS Word saying 'Dad Loves' and lots of his favourite things in different fonts, sizes and directions and stuck it in a frame. He loved it and it's on display next to his desk.

13  And I'll send you Percy if you take me on holiday with you, it sounds amazing!
His Girlfriend was mean to Ryder :undecided but I'm telling myself as their pup is apparently very nervous, she can't much get angry at it for being excitable?
Second the love of the dress, Shrimpy! That's the type of dress I'd have for sureI don't have a picture of Cassie though, it was on his phone and he was being sheepish as he didn't want anyone else knowing :rotfl:
Old sweets sounds like a plan! Saves me baking because I'm lazy :A And it's an excuse to go too the old-style sweet shop in town!0 -
Love your dress Shrimpy! I was looking at something similar but with a navy blue petticoat! It's on my pinterest board but I then think maybe I want something full length? I don't know!
OOOhh I don't know how you could manage to wait till Christmas day to do a test Cinny. Is that still the plan?
We did find a really good deal for a UK wedding venue near where we live. If you can plan a wedding in 5 months (I could do that...) then you get the venue with all your food (and some drink) for 60 guests for £2500! Going to go and have a look at it next weekend when they have a wedding fair. It's an ongoing thing and is valid for any available date (including saturdays and bank holidays), 5 months from when you first enquire.
Been ill all last week with a cold, thought I was getting better and now woke up this morning with a really bad sore throat and feeling very rubbish again! Oh well at least I'm just spending the afternoon stuffing envelopes.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
