Trying something new today. 2 hour rules. 2 hours a day is spent cleaning, when that's up, anything left is left until tomorrow. This then frees up 2 hours of 'office time' ie trying to make things to craft and sell. The remaining 4 or 5 hours while NIM is out is basically Grace's time, feeding, washing, cuddling and playing. I like that time best.
Like the idea of breaking things down into a schedule, but 2 hours cleaning A DAY?!
Wouldn't that time be better spent with Grace or on some money making/crafting?
Unless the cleaning is related to Grace's lungs or something that I'm silly and have missed in which case totally ignore meDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Yeah, I'm lucky to get in 30 minutes cleaning a day!
Fair enough, I have a small flat rather than full-on house, but that is a lot! Are you fly-ladying it?!
Anyhoo, sounds like there's been a lot of lovely cuddly time with the little lady, do you have any ideas when you'll have a working buggy again? Must be so frustrating knowing that you're stuck inside!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Does sound like it could be teething, unfortunately the teething signs went on a while before we saw one!
Enjoy the cuddles, when they get bigger they wont stay still.0 -

She does need to have a clean environment to reduce the risks of getting tummy bugs or general illness (for example if you sneeze and touch a surface before washing your hands those bugs can live on that surface for 7 hours, so you could pick them up again, or someone else could, making it easier to pass to Grace). But cleaning includes all the laundry (yesterday she got through 4 vests, 4 babygrows, a set of dungarees, 3 big muslins, 3 towels, 2 pairs of socks and 3 bibs, plus our clothes, towels, bedding etc), the ironing, tidying up etc. We do have a decent sized 4 bed house, and there is always an 'extra' to do every day, clean the fridge and freezer, tidy the DVDs, sort Grace's old clothes out to go away, attic to organise etc. 2 hours is my very cutback version, I have been spending upwards of 4 hours a day cleaning recently, and I felt a bit like maternity leave was passing me by. Grace does still sleep more than most babies her age, this might be due to her size, or the hole in her heart making her tired more easy, but I certainly wouldn't spend 2 hours tidying + 2 hours crafting if she was awake. Is it NIM's birthday today?! It isHe's at work actually, but we're going to see Dara O'Brien tonight.
Grace is on a 24 hour monitor today to look at her oxygen requirements and see if she can come off it completely for now. When she's asleep she's at 99-100% (which is brilliant as usually there are dips while asleep that suggest babies still need oxygen), but while she's awake she's so blinking active it's struggling to get a good signal so it's saying she's in the low 80%'s (ie needs a lot more oxygen than room air!) - going to mention it to her nurse as I refuse to let her activity keep her on oxygen she doesn't need.
For those with little ones with teeth - while teething what behaviour told you it was going on? Grace is taking about 60-70% of her normal feed volumes, she's pushing the teet to the left of her mouth, she's chewier than usual and strangely her poo has entirely changed colour and consistency.... I don't know if this is actually a tummy bug?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Happy Birthday NIM!
Laundry does take a lot of time and Poppy wasn't a sicky baby. She would only sleep on me though during the day or in pushchair so hardly got anything done for months. Also she would maybe sleep 30 mins at a time. She is a much better napper now.
Teething signs- we have going off food ( she never went off milk but i know some babies can), chewing fingers, drooling loads, horrible poos and pooing more often (sorry to disgust those with no kids lol). Also waking up more at night.0 -
So strange how teething affects poo! Yuk. My friends' kids get pink cheeks too when they're teething.
Happy Birthday NIM - enjoy Dara tonight!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oh yes forgot that one Tete!0
