Mum and I were going to go away with Grace for 4 days in October, but we've decided not as she doesn't need to be around that many people. So mum and I may go for a weekend in London just the two of us in November instead. We used to go a lot when I was younger, so it would be lovely to go again as it was a lovely mum and daughter thing we did and I hopefully will do with Grace one day. Good incentive for me to keep on the diet, I don't want to be buying anything in a 12 in 4-6 weeks time, 10s all the way!
Been working on Grace's DLA form all day today, very determined it's going in the post tomorrow.
Almost managed to give away NIMs birthday present as well (since he found out what mum had him as I had the genius idea of hiding the tickets inside his stack of post not mine when he came home), be good if I can manage not to give everything away in advance.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

What about a painting Dinah? Although I personally would buy them a toaster - reminds me of a housemate I had at uni, we were like chalk and cheese and hated each other but for all the other girls' birthdays he bought them a bottle of vodka or something ... for mine he gave me a wordsearch book!! I would rather have had nothing! So for his I got him a colouring book and some felt tips but he clearly had a short memory and didn't get the reference. Happy days!
Eep CMD! 25 days til I go, so excited- what have you got planned??
Ruby, so sorry to hear what you've got going on - big hug! On one hand I'd say fear of the alternative is no reason to stay in a relationship, but then someone else said don't do anything rash, let yourself settle after the move and I think that's wise.
I'm still at work waiting to go to my French class at 7. So far two different cleaner/caretaker people have stuck their heads in to see if someone is still here. Probably waiting for me to leave so they can lock up but it's just tough - sometimes I stay late and that's how it is. Not my fault I got moved to a back-of-beyond office where they're not automatically open til 9pmBitter, moi?

Sounds like we're on the same flights a few weeks apart. We're going to do some look-at-but-don't-go-in sights on Thurs (Flatiron building, Grand Central Station etc) followed by either ESB or Top of the Rock on Thurs, a Brooklyn fire station (don't ask!), Ground Zero and Liberty and Ellis Island another day, and shopping and various museums and sights the other three days (can't remember off the top of my head), plus a play one evening and cocktails another. I really fancy Coney Island too but don't think we'll fit it inWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

*Joins in the whining* I want to go for the first time!
Sounds like you both have awesome trips lined up, and yay for your OH getting to move to Ireland for good CMD
How did you find your French class Tete? I'm looking for a Spanish one (though way more basic I guess!) and google is rubbish, is it better to contact colleges individually?
Ooh how is the DLA form going Dinah? Really hope you get something to help you out. I've heard you have to be as negative as possible on the from even if that feels wrong to be so pessimistic. I definitely wouldn't worry too much about what to buy your friend, she doesnt sound the nicest!

I always find it really hard to find evening classes online for some reason - just googling brings up nothing of any substance. I just find HE colleges near where I want to study and look on their own website but some are better than others! Maybe try places like an indie cinema too as sometimes they'll have conversation clubs - although they're maybe better for practice rather than learning :undecided
And as the fourth cleaner pops her head in the office, I'm off to my class. It's getting dark so early these days!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Dinah, I get dla for my son. Make sure that you read over your answers and add as much information as you can. Give examples if you don't feel comfortable saying this is bad and that is bad. It's all about the extra care that grace needs compared to a child of the same age. I know it's hard because she can't bath herself anyway but your bath time routine will be different than that of another parent of a six month old.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

Sorry to hear Grace is having a bad day. Hopefully tomorrow is better.
My world is getting better than it was. Finally secured a place to live today. 2 bedroom flat in a nice area of Bracknell (back were we used to live but different area). Will save the hour drive each day will be 30 minutes and also orchestra will be down the road so no getting back at 11pm on a Monday night again (unless I go to the pub). Plus I have more friends around there. It is the one at £850 per month so need to sort out the referencing application as well as some of the paperwork for the agents which is a scan job.
Job appears I might be on the safe list since 2 other team leads in work have handed their notices in. I know my job title will be changed but might mean as a technical lead I will be working across more areas of the department.0
