So glad to hear she is doing well.

When my daughter was a baby she always lost a little weight when she had been ill, I'm sure Grace will be piling it on again soon.

    Hope the injections go well.

Yay go healthy baby! Sure she'll soon be getting chunkier now she's feeling better :)

I did similar to you using the wrong bank account Dinah, forgot to take my company credit card out today. Didn't have my own credit card on me either so had pay using our household account, about £150 of products which I'll now have to take out of my overdraft until expenses come through :(
Have applied for a 1st direct account and was going to shut my graduate account when that comes through but when I keep cocking up like that I think I'd be a fool to get rid of my 0% overdraft. Annoying!

Great news on Grace Dinah, fingers crossed for the weight gain. Boo to the bank charges but you do have rather a lot on your plate at the moment so don't beat yourself up over it.

Hope you get your money/phone back Jaspersmum, I use mazuma mobile and have never had any problems so might be worth a try when you get your phone returned?

For those who are interested, the Harry Potter tour was AMAZING, I don't think I have ever geeked out so much in my life :D We have around 300 photos between us of just about every prop in the place! Not so sure on the Butterbeer though, I felt that it might make my teeth fall out on the spot it was so sweet! I want to go back now!! And I drove all the way there and back including the motorway without incident, go me! ;)

Go Grace :) So glad she's doing well!

How is everyone? Feeling stupid at the moment as money is really tight with OH still not being paid a full month (17 days to go!) but I agreed to go to London next Tuesday. The day shouldn't set me back more than £40 with travelling, and it is to see a friend back off to America plus a good excuse for a girls day out but, ugh. Don't like spending so much money souly on myself.

It was an honest mistake, Archers. Don't beat yourself up about it :)

Well done on your driving Shrimpy!! :j Glad you had a good time

Excited for Friday as Ryder is 6 months old! _party_

Glad to hear Grace is doing well!

I think everyone is finding it a bit tight with money this month! Have managed to save myself some cash by being approved for an Annual Season Ticket loan at work. Must admit I feel a bit posh getting my Gold Card out when the ticket inspectors come round the trains. Oh and managed to claim back some travel expenses for some training courses I had to go on.

The main reason I'm short this month is that one of my friends from uni is getting married and we're going to Liverpool for her hen weekend (when did that become the norm? I thought it was supposed to be a night?) Anywho, in addition to that me and OH had booked a night in a hotel for her actual wedding (on her instruction) and now it turns out that we're not invited to the actual wedding day itself! Feel a bit put out to be honest that she told us to book this hotel and then turns round and says she invited too many people and therefore we were cut because we had the furthest to come and she wanted to save us the journey! The hotel won't refund us the room so we'll have a weekend away regardless, but I'd rather just have had the extra money in my account.

Hope you're all having a good day, I'm off to play with excel!

Eeee that's a bit shocking Ruby. I'd find the money to invite you to the wedding if I knew you'd be out of pocket. I didn't book my cousin's wedding accommodation until I had the invite in my hand, as I was nervous she'd do the same thing as I knew she was on a tight budget. Can you ask her if any of her relatives haven't booked yet? Maybe you could sell the room to them at a discount - I'm sure some nice family won't mind saying they're Mr and Mrs Ruby if it helps a family friend out.

Speaking of weddings, it seems my brother's girlfriend has eventually persuaded him to go to my cousin's. He wasn't bothered as it's a long way, he isn't working so it would cost a lot from his savings for travel, and it's his birthday the day after. They're coming down on the Tuesday, the wedding is the Thursday. This was not the plan originally, they were coming on the Wedneday, but I guess they can probably get along with people and one another for one extra day. If not there is the sea nearby and they'll be in it. It is a long way to come by train the day before the wedding arriving lateish. They're having to book a train back too as it's likely my dad will stay down there and do some sales so mum will come back in our car, so no room for the star-crossed lovers. The day they come back is my brother's birthday, so she must have done some pretty intensive cajoling to get him to travel all day on his birthday, when he didn't want to go all that way to the wedding at all.

Made a BIN sale on ebay this morning, which I'm chuffed about, hopefully walk Grace down to the post office to send this afternoon if it doesn't rain. She's been good since her injections after a few hours of sobbing, so hopefully not bothering her too much.

    Todays plan:
    1. Put £110 cheque in bank
    2. Email car loan lady.
    3. Post up my amazon reviews inc caterpillar
    4. Get annual travel insurance.
    5. Check all bank accounts.
    6. Order waterproof blanket for the garden
    7. List enough small bits to get to 20 item cap
    8. Put a load in washer/on line
    9. Wrap up software/phone to send
    10. Go to pharmacy for Grace's meds (excuse for a nice walk with her when she's awake)

I do feel like the last week I've gotten the finances moving a bit again, one of my credit cards has even managed to end up in credit so I'll need to sort that out soon (not in a rush as I think there are two more things to refund onto it, so going to get more in credit before I call up and ask for it to be put into the account).

I might try and do that Dinah, but need to get over my annoyance at the whole thing first. Sounds like you have a nice day planned with Grace, glad she seems ok with the jabs!

I think you're perfectly right to be annoyed to be honest. I hope she's downright grovelled to you in apology.

Ruby that's awful about the wedding! Did your friend know you had booked the room? I think Dinah's idea was good, is there anyone else who might take the room from you? Also, isn't it a bit odd to invite you to the hen but not the wedding? (Unless its a very intimate wedding then that may be different). How far off is the wedding day? There are usually some last minute drop-outs so you might find you get 're-invited'?

Happy Birthday for Friday Ryder! I thought of you on Sat Cinny, I was at a wedding (tis the season!) and all the tables were named after wrestlers. I only twigged this because of you, I wouldn't have heard of most of them otherwise :o (Although we were on 'Hulk Hogan', and I do know who he is!) I'm sure you will have a fantastic day on Tuesday, don't feel bad about treating yourself, the timing may not be perfect but you're smart with money and deserve a nice day out :)

Good money news Dinah! I have paid off and closed one card and small o/d, need to update my sig to see where I'm at, still a little way to go though.

In yet more wedding news, I almost have a date booked, 10th August 2013 :) Have it held for us with the church and hall, just need all the confirmation paperwork to be done and dusted, then I can start my official countdown (367 days!)
