So glad he had a nice send off :) And how lovely that he left you some money, couldn't come at a better time. Like Birdie said it does sound like you are back on track!

Glad Grace is still doing well, how cute that she's rolling now. Bet that she'll love some baby groups when she's a bit older.

Didn't have time to comment earlier Birdie, but I'm sure good news will come your way soon! And at least you can fit in more Disney holidays while you wait!

My parents are coming to visit this weekend which will be nice, they haven't seen our house yet so I need to get tidying and plan some things to do. OH has finished his training period at work so goes onto nightshifts next week which sucks as I'll never see him! Just had fish and chips and watching the olympic, so into it! We went down last weekend and it was so much fun, really glad we bothered getting tickets :)

Is lovely to hear you sounding so positive Dinah. Glad the funeral went well, sounds like your Grandad really had things sussed and showed that you need to enjoy life.

I was watching the video of Grace earlier on facebook and Poppy was fascinated so she has another fan!

Joining a couple of baby groups will be good when you are ready for it. I have made some good friends. I don't know if you have a local surestart centre but they are really good.

    Congratulations on the job Poddle!

We are down in southampton till Sunday, OH has actually managed to get 4 whole days off work. My mum and dad are on holiday but staying at theirs. Went to see OH's mum, sister and neices today and Poppy had her first hair cut by OH's mum. She did a good job and she can now actually see as it was getting in her eyes.

Hi all, been meaning to post for a few days. Going to hospital today for a co2 check on Grace, so fingers crossed that it hasn't risen any more (was about 7.8 at discharge and 9.5 last week, I don't think they'd let it go over 11 without taking action). If it goes well and she comes home again then she has all the joy of injections this afternoon.

Been reasonably productive on the money front in the last few days.
    1. Arranged a trade in on two phones NIM found in the study - £54 and £1 but it all helps
    2. Listed all the spare furniture in the dining room on ebay (maybe make £10 but it's the space more than anything)
    3. Listed several more bits on ebay until I hit the cap of items for the month (have about £220 up there if it all sells, £300 or so already sold)
    4. Sold 2 bits of software on ebay and requested paypal withdrawl
    5. Finally got my car loan settlement figure, now the money is locked in probate.

    Today I need to
    1. Put £110 cheque in bank
    2. Go to PO to return some clothing I ordered months ago that just arrived (£161 back on the card when it clears)
    3. Try to speak to the benefits people at the hospital about Grace (this will be the 5th time I go hence the word try - they've always either been absent or the shutters have been down entirely).
    4. Email car loan lady.
    5. Post up my amazon reviews
    6. Get annual travel insurance.
    7. Check all bank accounts.

Did make a complete cack up by using the wrong bank card for several large transactions (cottage for cousin's wedding, train tickets to her hen do, payment for mum and I for the hen do, a tesco order) and managed to get 2 overdraft charges while Grace was in hospital and I wasn't checking the banking, so that's £50 down the drain.

    Hi Dinah
Glad to see Grace is doing well.
Just wanted to say hope you are not trading the phones with Cash4Phones - I sent a phone last week and it said £40.40 - then I got an email yesterday saying the phone had excessive wear and tear (it was nearly perfect when I sent it)!!! and offering me £26.42!!! I have had to pay £5 to get the phone back!.

    Best of luck for today.

If its damaged thats on them, as you say it was nearly new challenge them. Any idea who their regulator would be? Might be an idea to drop an email to the OFT about it.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
    :j:j:j:j
  • I have sent them an email challenging it but have not had a reply yet, I have also put in the email that I will be reporting them to the OFT.

Someone has put on here that according to the terms and conditions - I may not even get my own phone back!! I have read them but could not see this so don't know if that is correct.

Seems that they do this sort of thing a lot!

Sounds like money stuff is going well Dinah (apart from the bank charges, grr)! Hope all of the bits on ebay sell for plenty :)

    I hope Gracie's CO2 levels are good today :)

I was so pleased with myself at badminton today, I was on fire! Well, for me at least! Think a few people in the club were a little surprised by how well I played so I'm feeling impressed with my little self! Next stop Rio! :D Well, maybe not... but at least I'm hitting the thing more than I'm missing it now! :p

Co2 of 6.4!!!! She's actually in normal baby range of 5-6 rather than chronic lung disease baby range of 8-10 :D:D:D Overall her consultant who saw her today described her as the picture of health (after I made him give her a full all over check), although I had to turn her oxygen up from 0.1 to 0.2 last night, he hooked her up to check her sats at 0.2 with a view to turning her down and they were about 90% (need to be above 92% but should really be above 95%), so he turned her up to 0.3.... still 90%. Me and the nurse get a bit paniced while he looks at Grace and say's she looks fine, numbers must be wrong. Then her nurse finds that the valve on the side of the tank is off - she's been on room air for about 2 hours!!! So we turned her on again and I left very quickly before he could send social services after me for depriving my oxygen dependant baby of oxygen. Unfortunately she's only gained 20g this week, if it doesn't pick up next week they'll try a medical high calorie formula, and if that doesn't work a feeding tube.

So brought her home and she gets to go for the injections. We were going to have a nice walk down as it's just under an hours walk each way, but it's pelting it down. Not even looking forward to taking her out to the car in this.

Nothing done money wise yet today I don't think, hospital and docs will take up all our morning and most of the afternoon.
