The doc just says he thinks Grace could be home a week today!!!! The charge nurse thinks more like 10 days as they won't have the home oxygen fitted within a week, but argh! Am off to shave and sterilise the cat.

Wow, that's brilliant news! even if it does take longer, it's so positive that the doctor thinks she's nearly ready. The photos are lovely, what a gorgeous girl you have!

What a chatty morning on here! Glad everyone's had a good weekend :)

Cinny, your brother's GF really is a cowbag (perfect word for her, Tete) and I agree, it's absolutely unacceptable to kick an animal. Shame that you have to be around her, but hope your bro sees sense soon.

Well done on the weight loss, girls! It's all good, even if your 'official' weigh in doesn't show it - at some point it will. I have lost 2lbs (a slow and steady 1lb a week *yawn*) and done my first vibroplates class this morning! FUN! I bought a 3 session taster course on Living Social a while ago and feeling very smug I haven't left if until the last possible date for a change :D

Good luck with your half marathon training, Birdie! Looks super cool - I especially like the sound of the eating and drinking afterwards...

Tete, do you run with music? I'm researching headphones for running - the ipod ones are hopeless and I don't want the complete sound-blocking ones. Just wondered if you had any recommendations?

Glad you're back on the dating horse (as it were) and you don't sound the least bit arrogant. You definitely need someone smart enough to keep up with you and who shares (or at least, gets) your sense of humour. (Plus, he should probably be tall, good looking and an animal lover who loves his mum. And that's just for starters!) I think internet dating takes a bit of patience and perseverance, but I know a lot of success stories, so fingers crossed!

EDIT: hope the dentist sorts you out Wendz, toothache is the worst :(

My list would be quite sad really, thinking about it 'must be fat, with beard (glasses optional, but preferred), have a passion for slogan tees, wrestling and bacon.'

When I wrote my profile for internet dating (how I met OH) I really struggled for what to write - that's brilliant Cinny!

Yey, brilliant news about Grace (though I agree with Beccie - poor cat!) - seems forever and about 2 minutes since she was born, strangely.

Birdie your half mara looks brill, love that they pick you up and drive you to the finish - in England if the sweeper van passes you you just have to get onto the pavement because it means they've opened the roads again!

Poddle I do listen to my little ipod shuffle, but I just use the ipod earphones. I only have one in so I can still hear what's going on around me, I just pop the spare one in my bra strap to stop it dangling. I've been looking into those sites where you can download songs at the correct number of BPM for the speed you want to go at, must give it a try and see if it works! The vibro thingy sounds BRILLIANT! (and well done on the loss!)

Glad it's just an antibiotic thing Wendz and not an extraction thing :( Hope it doesn't give you too much gip before your appt.

You're doing brill with the weightloss Star :) And don't be sorry, I wasn't expecting anything from it really. And dates are like interviews - good to go along for the experience even if you don't *really* want the job.

Yeah internet dating profiles are pretty grim! "I like going out and having a laugh but equally curling up on the sofa with a DVD and a bottle of wine" (usually not with that standard of spelling and grammar)...

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: must tell my sister this one!! :rotfl::rotfl: she has the worst history in dating ever! Once she got talking to this cute guy in the gym while she was waiting for her spin class to start. They hit it off but then it was time for her spin class. He suggests meeting for coffee the following day in the coffee shop in town. My sis was planning on going into town anyway so says yeah okay. Next day sis is sat waiting in said coffee shop. Cute guy comes in as agreed.......wait for it.......with his mother! Sis said "date" wasn't too bad but she never gave him her phone number when she left as she had talked more to his mum than to him :rotfl::rotfl:

I know!! My sis is 28 so he would have been around that age. He didn't mention the mother the day before. There was no "I'm taking my mum shopping tomorrow fancy meeting for a coffee?" just a plain "would you like to meet up for coffee tomorrow?"

WOW....just wow...I wish I could believe you are taking the P with this one but dear lord, how much of a mummies boy do you need to be. Reminds me of that woman from Ally McBeal.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

LOL Starnac, your poor sister! Tete, whenever you have a dodgy date you can at least say, 'Well at least he didn't bring his Mum!' :p

So exciting about Gracie going home soon! Amazing news! :j
