Why does MSE randomly stop emailing me?! Lots of posts since my last email so been having a catch up.
Grace continuing to progress, hope to get her onto low flow oxygen in the next few days, at which point we'll probably be 10-14 days from her coming home all being well.
Went to my friends gym on a guest pass yesterday, it's one on a little country hotel, so we were only going to the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi really, but ended up doing some lengths and I'm very proud to say I swam half a mile. Never done anything like that before. I feel a lot better for it too, may try to go swimming again somewhere this week. She taught me a great trick for doing lenths, you tell a story for each length about your life, its most fun when you get to the future as you can plan where you want to be, but you can have a different life each time, my friend was shocked when she gave herself 4 divorces one time! I was suprised how much easier I found it just to keep going doing this than I usually do.
Had a sneeky preview of tomorrows weigh in this morning, I was so pleased with the result I did a happy dance right there on the scales. At this rate I may be back to my pre-baby weight in another 3 weeks or so. I was also reading online about the DASH diet, which is specifically targetted to lower blood pressure. It seems like a lot of other diets in that it promotes real food rather than processed, but crucially it puhes 7-9 fruit and veg a a day, and 4 servings of dairy - especially milk, so I'm going to try to follow the principles a bit, see if I can bring my bp down too.
Loved your fb comment on Grace Cinny, made me grin right down to my socks. Really sorry to hear about your grandad, hope he's better soon and being spoilt in the meanwhile. Importantly though, what the heck is a bacon crisper?!
Everyone says she looks like NIM, I can't see either of us in there though, she's just a tiny cute ball. I know what you're saying though Tete, you saw her when she was only a few days old and she did look more like a plastic doll than a real baby, and now she's all chubby and proper babylike.
Good luck with the date Tete.
Now up to 33/60 hearts embroidered. Made a bet with my friend I'd have them all done by Thursday, so am on track. Want to get to 45 today ideally, although might only manage 40.
Your brother's gf sounds completely demented - kicking an animal is not okay for any reason.
Seems my brother is bored of his gf again, she came to see Grace last night and was a lot easier to talk to, but mum says he was hiding downstairs from her last night, and even holding mums hand and saying he wished it wasn't yelling, tears and drama every single day. We're not comenting this time, he has to come to the decision on his own. He did talk to me a bit about jobs last night though, and he hasn't spoken to mum or dad about it before, so at least now we're a bit reassured he has a plan.
I was gutted for you briefly Archers, now I just think your dad needs a stern talking to about panicing you unnessisarily!

She is so gorgoues Dinah! Must be really exciting with her making steps towards coming home.
The day at the gym sounds like it did you some good. You are doing great on the diet challenge.
Cinny - cannot believe your brothers gf, that is inacceptable.
Archers - glad the car was ok after all, must have been a shock.
Not much to report here, my tooth is still in pain. Defiantely need to phone for a dentist appointment tomorrow. Went to the farm yesterday with my mum and Poppy, was a nice day out.0 -
Awww she is gorgeous Dinah! Love the dancing picture! Fingers crossed that you'll get to bring her home in a couple of weeks. She seems to be making great progress!
I wouldn't let someone like that near my dog ever again Cinny, that's out of order.
I'm glad your car wasn't really stolen Archers, although a friend of mine had her house broken into last night while she was asleep on her own upstairs and they took her car among other things. I wouldn't be able to go back in my house knowing someone else had been in there rooting around.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Wow, she's huge!! How heavy is Grace now? She's so different to the tiny wee fragile thing we saw a few months ago...and very cute! I'm so excited for you both in anticipation of bringing baby home!0

She's gorgeous dinah. She's changed loads from first pictures you posted here!
Cinny that's terrible. I would not let Ryder near her again.

Hi all,
Can't believe it is Sunday night again
Cinny - I would be worried about your brothers GF. She sounds like a psycho. Not sure if I would have much to do with her after that

Grace is such a sweetheart, look at her having a little boogie! And those eyes! How exciting she's getting closer to coming home :T Sounds like the Spa/Gym is just what you needed though, swimming is meant to be an all over toner-upper isn't it?
And as for the bacon crisper, it's this from Lakeland. Nothing exciting really, but we don't have a mircowave!
My Grandad's doing well though, he was up and about today - batch making gravy!clearmydebts wrote: »Cinny - I would be worried about your brothers GF. She sounds like a psycho. Not sure if I would have much to do with her after that
To be honest, I won't be. She suddenly and mysteriously got too "ill" to come for tea with everyone. Ended up taking it out on my Brother instead, which I'm not awfully proud of but as she always goes into hiding when confrontation's about it's the only way to get word to her. Anyways, it's all been said now so I guess things just have to work themselves out.
Sooo glad your car wasn't stolen, Archers!! And I can't believe it's Sunday again either, CMDWhere does the weekend go?!

Thank you for putting up the latest piccies Dinah, she's adorable, has grown so much, clever little cookie0

Those pictures are gorgeous Dinah, thank you for sharing them. Its great to see Grace looking so well in them, and she is a total cutie
Poddle, the thread I mentioned is here, its not a challenge as such, more of a concept! but I have found it has given me a psychological boost. On that subject have been at work today for double pay, sadly it was just a one off but will be a welcome boost come next payday!
Cinny, glad to hear your grandad is ok, just to agree with what everyone else has said, that is totally outrageous behaviour from your brother's gf. If anyone so much as looks sideways at my cats they don't get invited back! How anyone could kick a dog is just beyond me. And congrats on the bacon crisper!
Archers, your story reminded me of my mum and dad, they rang me up last year to say that their car had been stolen while they were shopping, they were stranded, waiting for police etc. I rang OH who was all set to leave work and pick them up, everyone was in a panic... then they rang back to say they'd parked on a different floor and forgotten. Morning all! I'm another one wondering where the weekend went?!
Short week for me though as off on a Hen Do on Friday, hooray!
Glad your Grandad is doing OK after his fall Cinny and congratulations on the bacon crisper!I'm absolutely disgusted by your brother's GF's treatment of Ryder though. Awful! I'm not much of a dog person and hate it when they jump on me but the most I ever do is nudge them out of the way and hope that the owner will take the hint and distract them!
I hope your brother does the right thing and give her the elbow now that it's getting more and more obvious that she's a sociopath.
How did the date go Tete?! Well done for getting back on the horse
Ruby, I'm sorry but your update on your Nan made me laugh, fancy her thinking that you're evil! At least she's feeling better nowNot good about your friend being broken into though, hope she's OK
Archers, glad your car wasn't actually stolen! Seems like a lot of people have similar stories too! My Mum's friend thought her car had been stolen from a car park outside where she worked, called the police, starting crying and panicking... then turned round and saw it parked in another space opposite at an odd angle. Turned out she'd left the handbrake off and it had rolled into the other space! :rotfl:
Sounds like you're doing really well with your diet challenge Dinah! Well done!I'm trying to work up the courage to start running to train for our crazy half marathon. Hoping that it stays dry so I can go out for a little shuffle tonight
Grace is getting so big now! She's so freakin' cute, love the photos!
OH's tournament wasn't rained off so he went away on Saturday morning and I went out with my parents which was niceApparently all of the rugby teams there were semi-professional so OH's team were doomed as they're anything but
He had a great time though... came home at midday yesterday still a little drunk and very tired! Dinner with my work friend on Friday was really nice, she told me some gossip about my manager and the chap who's temporarily working in my team and I can't make eye contact with either of them this morning!
