Hi Dippy! Long time no see!

Sorry the doctor was rubbish Wendz :( I remember a while back I used to get a mouth full of ulcers every couple of months and it was agony, the doctor was rubbish and just told me to brush them gently with a toothbrush... which was the most ridiculously painful advice ever! Mouthwash, Bonjella and brandy, that's the cure! :)

I'm jealous of you wedding planning ladies! Well, half jealous and half not at all! :)

Well done for getting the PPI letters done Dinah, hopefully your Grandad will get something from them :)

I get mouth ulcers a fair bit, got them now actually! I tried changing my toothpaste to a more natural one and started using Cordosyl mouthwash. Didn't really help and eventually they went away on their own accord so I reckon mine are stress-related. They mostly seem to flare up a few days or so after I have an anxiety flare-up and can't be purely coincidence! Strangely I get them more on my tongue than anywhere else these days but I checked with the dentist and she doesn't think they were ever anything sinister.

Hope yours clear up soon, I know how horrible they are, especially when you've got a few! Can't suggest any magic remedies but in my experience, worrying about them tends to either make it worse or make them take longer to go away. If they're really painful, my dentist recommend a mouthwash that numbs your mouth. Think you can get it OTC. It's got benzydamine hydrochloride in it (think that's the spelling).

    Morning all :)

Dalai Lama was good yesterday although after 5 hours sitting on a cold concrete step I think I'm only just starting to get my circulation back now!

Did first day of the 30 day shred yesterday and am now sitting here trying not to move cause it hurts :o OH didn't believe me last time and thought it was funny that I complained and gave up after a few days. He joined in yesterday - I am pleased to say that despite the fact he goes to the gym every day he still hurts too :D

All this talk of mouth ulcers sounds very painful!

Glad you enjoyed seeing the Dalai Lama Beccie.

I've started sewing the hearts for the staff on Grace's unit. I've had some help, but I'm pleased to stay from starting Wednesday night we have embroidered 19 of them... only 41 more to go. NIM has done 2 for me (surprisingly neat stitcher considering he hadn't done it before) and my best friend did 4 last night while we had dinner. Will post a picture when they're finished.

Haven't checked banking in days as haven't had time, which is bad as I think we ran out of money a while ago. Monday is my payday, although NIMs isn't for a while, until I know how much is coming this month I can't organise my budget sheet either. I asked HR for a breakdown of what would be in each month's payslip, and they said they were unable to provide it.

Look forward to seeing a picture of the hearts Dinah, I think that's a lovely thing to be doing :)

Surely HR should be able to do that for you? Doesn't seem right that they wouldn't know!

    Morning,

Ulcers have cleared up but my gums are really painful especially round one of my back wisdom teeth. One thing after another grr. Anyway am off work now for the weekend so can chill out at home if that is possible with a small child!

Dinah - Grace is looking great, she is absolutely gorgeous. I found my pay really confusing on maternity leave as could never work out how much i was meant to get.

Whats everyone up to this weekend. I was meant to be going to a picnic tomorrow but weather looks rubbish and still cant eat much. Alos meant to be seeing my mum but think shes a bit worried about catching this illness of us.

I know the feeling. I'm in bits this morning, cycled into work in the glorious sunshine on wednesday. Thursday my elbow decided to start giving me grief, cycled again today and now my knee is acting up too. This is on top of getting soaked and having to dodge 3 big red lorries which decided a cyclist was good target practice.

    Hows everyone elses morning going?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

That does seem a bit unhelpful that they are unable to tell you how much money you will be getting, once you have had this pay will the following months be the same? And you should have really had your payslip by now if payday is Monday I would have thought. Glad the hearts are going well and agree with beccie that its a really lovely thing to do.

Beccie - I have just noticed your sig, you have paid off an amazing amount! Well done! Any tips? I need to update my sig as I know the true figure is slightly worse than it was... I just can't seem to tackle this last bit, I feel like I'm out of ideas...

Glad you enjoyed seeing the Dalai Lama Beccie, don't think I'd be able to walk after sitting on a step for 5 hours though! :o

The hearts sound lovely Dinah, I'm sure they be very much appreciated! :) Gracie's looking very well now, must be so exciting knowing that she'll be home soon.

OH's going away tomorrow morning for a rugby 7's tournament in Nottingham and won't be home until Sunday afternoon so I've got a nice weekend of entertaining myself ahead of me. Not that I'm looking forward to it or anything! :o Think I'll go shopping (and spend ages wandering around Primark which OH hates!) and have a takeout with a girlie movie in the evening. :) Going out for dinner with a girl from work tonight which I'm looking forward to, we've just recently got chatting as we work at opposite ends of the office but she's as daft as I am so it should be good. It's nice to have a work friend outside of my small team too :)
