This is yet another reason not to buy brands. Branding was once an indication of quality, these days its a status symbol and the giro waving masses can get them off the back of a van just as easily as you or I can buy them in a shop, probably easier cause they'll not payThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

I'd love to adopt a staffy but almost all of them are recommended for houses without small children and, well Grace kinda was there first.
They are a lovely breed and look awesome.
Unfortunately I was also here first, and I'm kind of terrified of dogs. Even the idea of a big dog in my house scares me. I'm even scared of the tiny ones that look a bit like teddies, but I feel like if I had to I might be able to live with one of those.if I can't be hassled with a dog after 30 minutes how the heck am I going to deal with a baby?!
Our cheques have cleared today, and it's payday so it's mega money shuffle day! Paying off CCs and ordering vouchers through work to pay off our holiday (we only save 4% but it works out as £136 saving which isn't bad!). Our bank balance will be back to what it's used to in no time!Feel like a weight has been lifted though
Had to order some bras today, half price on BrandAlley, but I still resent having to spend so much. Mum bought me one yesterday in town so at least I know what size I am. I'm just a different size to before pregnancy and wearing my maternity bras makes me sad every morning as it just reminds me I'm not breastfeeding.
Feeling a bit swamped atm trying to get everything done before Grace comes home, which is manifesting itself as extreme tiredness, a constant jittery feeling and tbh moments of blind panic.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Apologies to your mum NIM - I've always imagined Miriam as an English Bull Terrier! :rotfl:
Don't know if we'll be allowed to take pics but will take my camera along anyway. We have standing tickets (cheap!) but at least that means we'll be near the front so hoping for a good view.
Agreed Cinny - it's such a shame when breeds get a bad rep. There's no bad dogs, only bad owners :mad:Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Quick post from me in between hobnobbing at the Open Day - saw this Birdie and thought of you!
Vote here for greyhounds, I love them so much! If I wasn't a cat person I'd have one!
I also shop at that chavvy place for running gear, so much cheaper. But it pains me to be lining Mike Ashley's pocketsWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Went in to the Teesside park one yesterday to buy a new pair of trainers, there was like 1000 to choose from so I paniced and left, then went back to get some cycling shoes instead. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

The one in Teesside always scared me because there was SO. MUCH. STUFF.
Been left in the office on my own today and have finished the work I was left (and that's with browsing a few sites in between each task). About 3 hours before I can reasonably leave. Diets suck. I want sugar
Trying to do PPI letters for my grandad today. Which I really don't have time to be doing but my priority system is !!!!!!ed as there are so many super-urgent in red pen tasks it's not even funny. How can you prioritise when everything needs doing NOW?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Diets suck. I want sugar
I found when I crave sugar (and it's because my blood sugar is a little low) chop up an apple into wedges and sprikle cinnamon over the top. Cinnamon helps to keep your blood sugar in check and mixed with the crispness of the apple it makes me think I'm eating apple pie....in my dreams but it is a nice snack!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Have a biscuit and a cup of tea dinah. One biscuit won't hurt as long as you are not like me and have to finish the whole packet.
My mum has got a staff. She was a rescue dog my mum got before DD was born. She was a bit worried about the rep the dogs have but she is fab. DD (and now DS) was quite rough with her. She would sit on the dog, grab her fur to pull herself up into a standing position, take food out of her bowl while the dog was eating and the dog just tolerates her. She doesn't particularly like it but she seems to know that DD wasn't doing it on purpose just didn't know any different (till she got told off obviously). DD makes up for it now by curling up with the dog in the dogs bed and sharing her biscuits/chocolate/sandwiches with her *rolls eyes* and generally making a big fuss of her. The dog is the same now DS is starting to do the same things. I think most dogs have got a bigger tolerance level for children.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
