Shrimpy HUGE congrats, whats the stone in the centre, it looks like Jet or Obsidian but I'm not great on them so you'll need to tell me ;)

And if you think OH is looking for the romantic story you can tell him I fell over trying to get on one knee.

Lol, but you're still one of the most romantic men most of us have ever heard of!

NIM, hope you're taking care of yourself, as well as your girls :)

Aw thanks girls, it was a really brill day. But the photos are very kind!

Oh wow Poddle, those pics are gorgeous! I love the colours you chose, in fact I basically love everything! You look absolutely stunning.

Thanks for the congrats everyone, I think OH is going to see my Dad tonight so hopefully I will be able to shout it from the rooftops soon. Yay! Nim - its actually a sapphire :) it does look a little different in the pic I think. I don't see how a proposal could not be romantic regardless of how it happened - unless the girl said 'no' I guess!

I don't want to be at work today, I want to be at home reading wedding blogs! I can see how planning weddings turns people crazy...

Glad you had a great holiday Cinny, can we see pics?

I'm grand, I dont actually feel much stress a lot of the time, Graces operation not withstanding, I get the backlash after everything has happened and been dealt with. My body'll shut down for a couple of days and I'll just feel rubbish as I recover.

Cheers for asking though, and I'm far from majorly romantic, I'm too bl00dy last minute a lot of the time, and I hate valentines day with a passion that burns like the fire of a thousand suns but thats a whole other issue ;)

Birdie, I was just debating getting those filthy Fifty books on my Kindle! People must like them as they're selling like hotcakes, but the reviews were awful - are they just trashy bad or bad bad?

I'm ashamed to say it but I thought they were amazeballs! :o The writing is a little iffy but if you get past that then it's a really good, unusual love story. You have to read the full trilogy to really enjoy it all though. Think the bad reviews are a mix of literary snobs (hello, it's not out to win the Booker Prize!) and people who just kind of miss the point that it's sheer escapism and dirty 'stuff' for beginners/the mass market. Which it clearly appeals to since it's sold 10m copies! :)

The wedding photos are gorgeous, we should Pin some of your photos and see how many boards they get onto! ;)

Off work today with a stomach bug, OH's suffering too so we're being pathetic together. :( Got dressed 20 minutes ago and everything hurt :( Really hope OH is better tomorrow as he's off to Berlin!

Is it bad to admit I used to do that anyway? But now I can do it legitimately!

I'm on Pinterest too (beware Archers it will consume hours of your life!) and would love to follow some new people, but have no idea how to find anyone other than through facebook...?

Fingers crossed it is just a 24 hour thing for you both Birdie x

    Hi all!

Glad you had a great time Cinny! Pics are great, are you a foreign holiday convert now?! :D

Hope work goes OK Archers, what are you doing? :)

Good luck for your first day too Ruby! :)

OH's Nana died on Sunday night so our weekend has been a little up and down. :( She'd been in a home with advanced dementia for the last 7/8 years and TBH everyone is surprised she held on this long but it's still very sad. We then found out on Monday that a school friend of OH had died on Saturday, he was only 28. Quite a lot for OH to take in over 2 days, poor lad :( He's off to Berlin on Friday for his friend's Stag and I think he needs it!

On a totally unrelated note, has anyone read Fifty Shades of Grey?! Read all 3 in 6 days and although they're total trash and very dirty I loved them! Boys, this is not a recommendation for you guys! :p

So sorry to hear all of this Birdie :(

Congrats Shrimpy! Wonderful news and a beautiful ring!

Poddle - you made a beautiful bride. Love the photos :)

Dinah - it's hard to know where to start. I don't know how you are holding it together, I really don't. I just pray that you will get news healthwise and you can concentrate on getting little Grace home and looking after your Grandad xxx
