Dinah please don't think you've failed Grace. You have fed her this long and ANYTHING you've given her is better than nothing. All new mums feel like they have failed their child at some point. For me with DD it was when I got PND, then this time with DS it was because I couldn't BF him cos he couldn't latch on properly.

With everything Grace has been through you have been there for her, cared for her, expressed for her, worried for her. You have not failed in her in the slightest. Please don't think like that.

Prayers going up for you to be in the 90% category too.

    Take care of yourselves.

I'm sorry that they've found something wrong Dinah, I hope that it is benign and your surgery goes smoothly.

Try not to feel like you're failing Grace at all, you gave her life and you'll continue to love and care for her for the rest of your life. How's that a failure?! Concentrate on being strong for her. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Dinah, you, Grace and NIM will all be in my thoughts over the next few days and I hope your surgery and treatment goes well. You haven't failed Grace in any way, you are there for her and you love her and that is what matters. You're an incredibly strong person, keep focusing on the day your new family are all at home together, it will come. xx

Oh Dinah I'm so sorry :( You poor thing. Really hoping everything is fine, might this help with your blood pressure when it is sorted?

Please don't feel you're not doing your best for Grace, I covered infant nutrition during my degree and formula is amazing stuff! I think the issues are the aggressive marketing that accompanies it so people use it when it's not always necessary, if you can't breastfeed for whatever reason then it is brilliant. Babies used to be given all sorts of stuff like condensed milk with brandy in the past! She will be absolutely fine as long as she's loved :)

Am with everyone in hoping that you are in the 90%.

Please don't think you have failed Grace. To have been able to express for this amount of time is nothing short of amazing. You have given her the best start you could have. Every Mum feels like she has failed her child at some point. When you become a Mum you feel guilty about everything - how to feed them, how to wean, going back to work vs staying at home, what school to send them to. The list goes on.....

Grace is loved so much, and that is all she needs xxx

Dinah, please dont feel that you have failed Grace. You have given her the best possible start and to be honest I admire you for continuing to express for so long - it cant of been easy!
Even just getting the first milk is so beneficial to babies. I understand the feelings of guilt though as Noah was around 8 weeks when I stopped BF-ing and started taking antidepressants again.

You are doing an AMAZING job!!

Just to let everyone know we got home safe on Wednesday. Been rushed off our feet since, and a half finished kitchen meant while I actually lost 1lb on holiday (food was amazing, never stopped eating!) I've put 3lb on in take outs since we got home. Pictures are on my Facebook, it's friends only but if people want to add me its Kate Shaw - photo of me and Rich looking all sunny! Never had the post holiday blues so bad, already saving for next year :)

Hope everyone's okay, and Grace is doing well :D saw on Facebook that Dinah's out of hospital? Still need to catch up, it's hell reading on my phone. Can't find my laptop charger!

Oh Dinah, hope you're in the 90% and at least they know what's causing things now. Grace seems to be making progress so that's the main thing.

Just popping on to say that me and OH and now moved into the new flat and my first day at the new job is tomorrow. Have no idea how much money I spent this weekend but just hope I have enough so I can get to work for the rest of the month!
