That's strange NIM, you wouldn't think that there would be much difference between the sexes at such a young age. Any news today, how has she been through the night?

I'll bet your Nan is confused Ruby, but at least you can relax knowing that she's being cared for properly. I'm sure you'll find a flat but eah it is stressful trying to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes.

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you Flower.

Birdie that t-shirt cardie thing looks pretty easy so no more downing your skillz - just have a go! I'm going to start the challenge today with the aim of sewing buttons on three items of clothing tonight - it'll take like half an hour. Not THE most creative thing in the world but they've needed doing for so long and I'd really like to be able to wear those trousers again!

Grace is good today, blood test overnight was normal so no infection. She looks well, although is having lots of hiccups. She's outgrown her first bit of clothing today, and she's being swapped from continuous feeds to hourly, which is great as its the first step in establishing a normal feeding pattern.

I'd love to do something creative, or even just reorganise the cupboards so I can find things, but I can't see any time before she starts school when I'll have time! Wish I could knit or embroider, I could do that beside her incubator rather than read the news.

We've heard it all over the unit, and online, preemie girls fight harder and progress quicker, boys are more laid back but grow faster.

Hope you keep that first item of clothing so you can look back and wonder at how tiny she was - a friend at church had a preemie boy and his first item is about the size of a postage stamp. To look at him now you'd never know that he'd been through so much.

Really pleased to read Grace is on hourly feeds, that's fabulous news :)

Dinah that must be awful to see something like that happen.

We already know Grace is a fighter and she's progressing so well now.

It's only natural to worry about your baby. I worry all the time about mine and they are both fine so please don't stress about worrying. You've got enough to worry about.

I can't believe I'm so late in saying this, but many congratulations over the birth of Grace and I hope she continues to fight :)

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, seems like as soon as I settle down to catch up/post something drags me back off the computer. Mainly Ryder. Weeing somewhere.

That's such sad news about the little boy though Dinah :( So glad Grace is doing well, I can't believe how much she's grown but how shockingly tiny she still is!

Will be keeping my fingers crossed chemo is doing the trick with your Dad, Tete. Nice to see you posting again!

Sorry to hear about possibly being made redundant too, Flower. Hopefully you're in the clear.

Not much to update you on from my end, just ticking off the days until we go on holiday. 15! :j 14 days until Ryder goes to my Mums :( Bought the last of the holiday bits today, so we're all ready to get packed on the 15th :D Although I read a review saying one woman put 11lb on over 10 days because the food is just that nice

That is awful Dinah, those poor parents. You are not the worst person in the world for worrying about Grace, you are a parent and thats what they do!

Dinah, I think Wendz is absolutely right; it is unbearably sad that another mummy has lost a baby, but it's only natural that you put Grace first. Glad she continues to fight and grow!

Ruby, flat hunting is stressful! But it's like job hunting, you just need the one :)

I'd definitely be up for some creative challenges when I'm back from Cuba (sorry, that was unintentionally smug) - let me know how you guys get on!

I had a great hen weekend, thanks all! Just really unsophisticated and silly fun - the best! I'll post some pics when the girls get around to uploading them.

Gosh, I hope I don't put on 11lbs on holiday! It's a good recommendation though, Cinny - aw, I bet you're going to really miss Ryder :( but it's nice that he gets a little holiday too!

Great news that Gracie's well today, tiny baby hiccups sounds so cute! :) Good on her for outgrowing her first item of clothing too, that's brilliant! :)

LOL at your unintentional smugness Poddle! ;)

We just did our online check-in thingy and the website told us that we fly to Spain in 9 days! Can't believe it, totally thought it was about 3 weeks away  This weekend shall be spent trying to find a bikini that doesn't make me feel like a whale :o

11lb weight gain in 10 days is shocking, the food (and cocktails!) must be very good Cinny! :D

Thanks for reminding me that I've got a dress that needs a button reattaching Tete! I've been meaning to do it for about 6 months :o

Let's make a button pact for tonight then! :D

Great news about Grace growing out of her clothes already, you'll soon be cursing how much it's costing :)

Very jealous of all your holidays but I do have a girls' weekend in London this weekend, going to the V&A and out for tapas and to see Warhorse, could be worse!

Now off to donate blood :A if I have enough iron :o

No one ever wants my blood for that exact reason!! My iron levels are always low (even when i'm on iron tablets) so people would probably be worse off having my yucky blood :rotfl:

How cute about Garce outgoing her first clothes. Before you know it you'll feel like all you ever do is buy new bigger clothes! I swear Noah has only been in his new vests a couple of weeks and he could already do with some new ones.
