I remember diesel being 62.7p a litre in a local petrol station back home. I just remember thinking that was an odd number. I was rather young at the time.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Are we turning into the [STRIKE]four[/STRIKE]threeyorkshiremen? :D

It's just annoying there isn't anything you can really do about it, we only use our cars when we have to as it is and we're averaging £150-£170 a month on fuel.

I makes me REALLY angry that we put aside 3x as much per month for fuel for the car as we do food for us! Why should my car eat better than me?!

But that is mental. Our food budget is half our fuel budget mind, but that's more because I like trying to make us healthy meals as cheaply as Kately possible :o

I just can't for the life of me get food under £150-£160 a month. Well, I could see how I could do it, but I'm quite big on my protein atm as rice and pasta carbs seem to give me heartburn so we're having bigger bits of fish and meat than usual in our dinners.

    Happy pancake day everyone!

I have to say, I hadn't really realised how expensive fuel was until I started driving. I remember it was a massive deal when it went over £1 a litre but in my mind that's kind of how much it still was :o

No idea about pence per mile and stuff, now I know where I'm working for the foreseeable future I'll have to budget properly for it next month. I think its going to come as a shock!

Good luck with the pancake race Birdie, send some free pancakes my way! I hope the Tesco delivery man comes as soon as I get home, I'm so hungry I could eat him! Should've just gone to the supermarket myself but had a code and couldn't bring myself not to use it :o

I remember when petrol was 79p a litre, those were the days! :) We don't travel about half as much as we used to since it's so blimmin' expensive now (and my car doesn't like to go very far!). Think we average about £35 a week on petrol, not *too* bad but it used to be less than £20!

Pancake Race has been run, I came second in our group! :D Yes, one of the ladies dropped her pancake and had to go back for it and the guy in the group was taking it easy as he won last year and wanted to give the rest of us a chance... but still! I'm impressed that I actually kept up with the girl in front without falling over! The pancakes they were giving away weren't very nice though so OH and I went home (since it went into my lunch break) and had yummy pancakes!

I've got my 'proper' anniversary present from OH, it finally got delivered today after a week of failed attempts :)This charm for my bracelet to replace the flip flop charm he bought me as a wedding present which broke and the main bit got lost, how sweet he is for remembering! I have been very spoilt as he bought me some really pretty earrings to open on the day too :o I feel bad because I ordered a canvas for him but it hasn't even been made yet and didn't think to get him anything else :o

Oh and on the subject of the canvas, I got a Groupon voucher for it but they failed to mention when ordering the voucher that it'd take a minimum of 21 working days for it to be delivered, so I'm going to have to wait at least another week for it but the company keep sending me more money off vouchers to get me to use them again... why carry on selling vouchers and doing special offers when they clearly can't keep up with demand?! I'll just pay the extra money and get it from a company who delivers within a week!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Youframe.com by any chance Birdie? I ordered from them too. There is the option for 5 day processing for an extra fiver or something like that - so I don't think it's that they can't keep up more they can get a bit extra out of people who want it quicker. I've saved all the codes, if the quality etc is good I might use one or two, but realistically I don't think I need anything else on a canvas - I just wanted our 'frame your guests' wedding picture done.
