My main issue with bricks is I don't have the accuracy to hit a window in leeds from teesside.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

What were you planning to use for launching the brick? I understand the RAF could use their lazer guide to get it right. Just don't as the US RAF.

My thoughts exactly. At least it rings now when I try rather than being direct to voice mail but still.

That is a start. Could have been turned off or out of signal before.

I'd just use the savings, even with the best intentions once you start on a credit card it can be hard sometimes not to be tempted to start to rely on them.

    Agree with this 100%
    Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
    DFD:Nov 22/June 22
    Mortgage: €199,712
    MFD: March 2042/July 2034
  • Hi Ruby - agreed with Dinah and CMD. Even if you have to use all your savings to pay for these things and start again from scratch, it's always nicer to see your savings go up than the debt come down - if you know what I mean! Both are obviously nice but given the choice...

Re. Pass Plus, well by now you should be used to driving in the dark as you passed your test in the depths of winter. Motorways are probably the easiest driving you'll experience - great condition roads, clear signage, loads of room for overtaking etc etc and you're not going any faster than you would on an A road. Rather than finding someone to go out with you why not go out on your own to build your confidence? Getting used to your car and the 'ways of the road' with no one there to advise you is probably the best way to learn.

Poolie, you always have the answers haha, you made me laugh!

Tete makes a really good point, Ruby. The only way I really got comfortable driving on the motorway was going on it by myself, with a slushie and Taylor Swift album to block out the fear with heartbreak.

Hope you got in touch with the o2 lady, NIM! I think the brick sounded like a magnificent idea. It would have shown that you can think *outside* the box.

How's everyone this morning? Freezing at work because the boiler's on the blink, hoping it just naturally gets warmer later on. It's my Gran's Birthday so I'm off up to see her after work. Got a photo of me, OH and my Sister framed for her. Poor dear! Me and OH are on a challenge to spend £5 tops on people this year, having to think things through a lot more and everyone seems to be getting way nicer presents than last year.
