Erm...can we go too?
Wouldn't it make more sense to go when I can join you on the rides? Otherwise absolutely we could go it's a great price. Anyway, how can you say no to a 5* week away which will be all relaxing and pro-low BP which is only £49 per person more and jump at this?! You make no sense to me some days.
ETA: Ofc it's per person, holidays tend to be priced per person.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Where is the 5*?This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
My most recent suggestion was Rhodes, but I've also found deals in Portugal, Morocco and Mallorca in the last few weeks. New suggestions will come your way today as the travelzoo list gets sent every Wednesday. It's sad that I get excited because Wednesday is both holiday !!!!!! day and Martin's newsletter day.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I know its easier said than done but try not to worry Dinah. You don't know whether baby will be really early or not but when he/she does arrive you won't care you will just be glad they are there. Everything else will sort itself out.0

Birdie that payrise sounds fab! Especially if you weren't expecting it!! I'm not going to get a payrise for aaages but it is so exciting when you get one!! Was 2011 really bad or was it just with the wedding and big honeymoon etc?
Wedding, honeymoon, car problems, tv and laptop packing up within a month of each other... just lots of expense!
Ahhh cool! Sadly the dates are no good for us
As Wendz says, try not too worry too much about the baby arriving early. Just because you were early doesn't mean your LO will be, hopefully it's nice and cosy in there and doesn't want to come out before it has to! The less you stress about it the better for you and baby. By the way, I saw that photo on FB from your cousin's party and you've got a lovely pregnancy glow!
OH has got his offer, £1659.37 and 2 free return flights anywhere in Europe. Very random figure but it is the cost of his flights reimbursed + £1500. He's really pleased and is accepting it. I would have liked more but it's up to him, think he'd rather have that now than drag it out for ages, and he was happy with £500 TBH! Will cover our holiday in October (not that we've booked anything yet!) so it's all good!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Amaaaazing on the settlement doodah, Birdie! And pretty fab it'll cover your October holiday. Just hope nothing horrible like that happens again!
The camper deal looks gorgeous, Dinah! If it wasn't for Rhodes I'd be massively tempted. Was freaking out last night because it's 'only' 4 months away! *Carlton dance*
Sorry to hear about the baby stress! Like Wendz said, try and stay calm because you never know how long you will carry for. Just because one thing happened to your Mum doesn't mean it'll be the same for you. You'll be totally fine, I'm sure.
Tink - Sorry my complaining has got you worrying! You really don't sound anything at all like how my Brother's girlfriend is. For the coconutness you can buy big bottles of the oil from Asian markets, and apply it to the ends of your hair like a leave in conditioner. Or, just do what I do and buy coconut based hair masks but use them every time you wash your hair. Keeps my hair pretty dandy, although I'd have to do all this anyways because I'm 99% sure my hair is part metal.
Your saving plan sounds good though, Tink. Wish me and OH had that amount to save! Back to watching the pennies as OH is really hating his job, so I told him to cut back on overtime completely as he's getting scarily stressed. Worried he'll end up getting signed off by the Doctor if he doesn't chill it a little. Have £40 in my bank atm I'm challenging myself with for the food shopping again, then I can let my wages/bits from odd jobs build up for savings. Just want January to be over with, been broke since the start of the month. Plus £300+ in unexpected costs, which we had saved but I want to 'pay' ourselves back if that makes sense. Never ends! As much as I love Winter I'm sat here thinking 'the month would have been so much easier to take if it was Summer. And pretty. And I could have peaches' :rotfl:0 -
That sounds like a pretty good offer. Hopefully you can have a nice holiday with that.0

I'm intrigued that if we save up (using martins thingy) £500/month between us we will have £15K in 3 years.. that would be a pretty good position to be in and I think we should be able to save £250 each per month now OH is working because we dont have any debts (I'm ignoring student loan and but our student overdrafts are also being ignored for now!)! If you had no debts what would you have spare Dinah?
You've got me wondering there. Had to have a fiddle with the budget but on our current salaries and current situation (ie no childcare or reduced maternity pay, and on a normal food spend month) we would have £1037 spare for spending money or saving or balancing however we wished. I have a feeling most of that will be going on nursery fees in the very immediate future.
Fewer holiday bargains today, very clear favourite for me is this. Always wanted to go. There was a lovely lake district break too, but when I saw the price was per person not per room it seemed a lot less like value. I love the lake district, been threatening to take NIM for years.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Looking foward to better weather too, played footie last night for the first time in nearly a month and I was in bits. Want to get back on the bike but don't feel overly safe out there at the moment so I'm missing it till it gets a bit lighter and warmer and drivers get more sane. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

Cinny - i agree Jan is rubbish. Looking forward to the summer especially if we can find a house to rent so me and Poppy can play in the garden when I'm not working.Good luck with the food shopping challenge ,I am sure you will manage it.
I think we might end up in the lake district again this year as really need to put all extra money into the wedding but first we have to pay for Poppys first month nursery fees, then April will be tight as i will only get paid half a month wages and have to pay a whole month nursery plus travel. We also are trying to find a house to rent from april so will have to pay for estate agents fees, moving costs. Not quite sure when we will get chance to start saving for wedding.0
