Awww man what I would give to be lying by a pool right now! I can see a canal, is that the same?!
Poddle, I think you're so cute, not dowdy at all!Have a lovely time in Goa
Agreed that Cinny is gorgeous though! Love your curly wurly hair in your pic. Are you adding any more tattoos to your arm soon?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
*blush* aw thanks Birdie!
Pool is pretty lush, but canals are nice too! And fingers crossed your OH gets a HUGE payoff and you'll be sunning yourself somewhere fabulous in the not too distant future!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Birdie! That's amazing news, seriously massive congrats. You must be so pleased!
Ooh, RubySorry that the talk with your OH didn't help clear things up. Are you okay?
But holy smokes, Poddle! Sounds like you're having a gorgeous time, how's the wedding planning going? I feel way out of the loop!
And shucks, but I'm really not gorgeous. I am, however, a firm believer that an interesting hair colour/slightly alternative vibe gives the illusion of prettinessI'm getting some tattoos done for my 21st though, Birdie. Did this massive doodle last month, which is kind of senseless but there are some elements I love like the 'english garden' style flowers, retro death skull, candyfloss ect. So we're working with those, and then the leopard print extending up. Also have a design for a direwolf with 'fear cuts deeper than swords' for my foot (yess Nim, I'm going there!) But now I'm rambling!!
How're you feeling today, Dinah?0 -

Thanks for all your advice girls! I hope I'm not *that* girlfriend.. I think I just love it being me and OH together and I haven't seen him much recently (despite living together grr!) and so I feel a bit selfish and I think I like having my own way because in my head its (obviously ha!) the best way and it makes the most sense (not like getting what I want, but i.e. doing things in my order, or going to places I think would suit the group etc..) I think deep down this all links to me wanting to feel in control but I'm not sure. Going to speak to OH about it and make sure I'm not annoying anyone and see what he thinks
You have made me feel a bit more at ease though and it's made me think about it and I think its the control thing really
Ah well! Cinny I still can't believe youre not 21 yet! Your birthday is coming up though right? March time is it?
Birdie that payrise sounds fab! Especially if you weren't expecting it!! I'm not going to get a payrise for aaages but it is so exciting when you get one!! Was 2011 really bad or was it just with the wedding and big honeymoon etc?
I'm intrigued at your new york prices Dinah, that sounds pretty good to be honest.. as a finger in the air guess I was thinking £1k each but i do struggle to justify spending sometimes (justify to myself!) I guess it's because we havent' saved up the money yet but hey. Tete you should definitely go for your 30th! how exciting!!
I'm intrigued that if we save up (using martins thingy) £500/month between us we will have £15K in 3 years.. that would be a pretty good position to be in and I think we should be able to save £250 each per month now OH is working because we dont have any debts (I'm ignoring student loan and but our student overdrafts are also being ignored for now!)! If you had no debts what would you have spare Dinah?
Cinny I think you are very pretty and I love your new hair! I'm deffo not adventurous enough to ever do anything like that (and work would probably, no Definitely mind!) but I'm intrigued about this coconut oil..! I suffer terribly with my hair breaking off because of an old highlight job (so at the mo I'm sporting two-tone hair while I decide what to do with it/let it grow out but it will take a while!) and would be interested if you say this oil is good..!?
I dont know what you look like I'm afraid poddle but I'm sure you're very pretty!
ooh and birdie I can't wait to hear the other offer jet2 make you! well done your OH for rejecting the first one!!
Ruby I think it can be hard for your OH to commit before anything is definite. i think, like the others have said you should ace the interview and then see what happens next! there's no point getting upset about "what ifs"! I do know what you mean about long distance though as OH and I HAD to move together because it had been ages and the travelling really tires you out! also, it's expensive and lead to a few rows because of the journey!
Good luck with the interview and let us know how it goes!!0 -
1. Print and wrap boxes for Amazon and music magpie
2. Wrap amazon sold book and check nothing on risi needs sending
3. Finish listing everything in the lounge and tidy it all away
4. Write Hilton complaint email
5. Photograph and upload pics of bay things I listed last night but it was too dark to photo
6. Read NIMs jobs notes for the home delivery mystery shop
For tomorrow so I don't forget:
Get NIM to update the spreadsheet with our real numbers now we're not hiding the baby
Finally starting to get some MSs through again. NIM now has about £350 of profit lined up from the first fortnight in Feb I think, he's started getting odd jobs to do on the way home, and we've got a few supermarket jobs lined up which helps no end with the no spend January as there is only so much cooking you can do with no olive oil, butter, flour or dairy.
Had a very emotional freak out last night, somehow finding out I was born just before 34 weeks, rather than just before 37 as I thought has thrown me into a real panic. 17 weeks away seems like ages, but the idea I could have a tiny human in my arms in 14 weeks??? So last night was full on blubbing that I'm not ready, the money isn't sorted, what if we're never as happy as we are now once we have a baby etc etc. NIMs starting to get used to my hormonal breakdowns, but he still looks terrified when they happen. He did roughly talk me down and that it'll all be okay, but it has certainly given me a renewed sense of purpose to clear the credit cards.
Mum has also pointed out if the baby does come at 33/34 weeks that's when I've booked her to go to Venice, and she won't be going! It seemed like so far before my due date when I booked it as well.
