    Oooh hello new thread!

Hope work quietens down for you Tete, I miss you! :)

Had a giggle about the Tetris theme tune NIM, that's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that photo! Oh so much soup!

Feeling very cool today wearing my new Harry Potter Lanyard with my security pass on! ;) Also feeling very sleepy as still jet-lagged, we were still wide awake at 2am and restless all night, don't feel like I've actually slept so I can feel a mid-morning crash coming!

Looks like we're going to have to fork out for a new laptop as ours is well and truly on it's way out, it's running realllllly slowly and the screen is a [STRIKE]bit[/STRIKE] lot knackered and half hanging off, OH tried to fix it last night and made it even worse (you know things are bad when you hear a cracking noise and an 'Ahhh... it seems to be stuck closed now, lets see if I can prise it open... craaaaack' coming from the next room'!), we used to be able to jiggle it a bit and the screen would stop flickering and be OK-ish... now it's just purple constantly! Things just don't seem to last like they used to! :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I'm totally sure you'll slay this debt though, you two make quite the team when you put your heads to it! Although I honestly am worried you don't have enough soup :undecided

Well done on the MS jobs. I thought I was lucky when OH came home from work with a free company pen for me :rotfl: I wouldn't sweat finding something else though NIM, I'm sure something will come up again for you before then. You seem to be quite lucky with the Pandora jobs!

Tink - You have to do jumping jacks, high knees, twists, skaters ect. If you do it on a rug/yoga mat I think you'll be totally fine. The idea is to control yourself, so the movements shouldn't be slammed anywho. In level 3 you do jump training too, but again it's all about core control and not throwing yourself about.

No money goals for me though, just trying to save as much as possible and keep costs down. Our monthly bills will be upping by about £100 as of next payday with the gas going on, and needing to put money on the electric again. So frugality is key!

Hope everyone else is well. Working until 3 today then it's off to Zumba and Shred. Bought some Size 8-10 PJs yesterday and hit my first big goal weight, so I'm feeling very motivated!

You joke but I'll be through that in a surprisingly short period of time.

Hi everyone and welcome back Birdie, haven't got time to update properly, still no home internet (new activation given of 20th October, we'll see!)

I had loads to say reading through but have forgotten as usual! Tink I think you asked about my AAT? I've just started level 3, didn't do level 2 as I already do all our company's bookkeeping etc an our accountant advised me to jump straight in! Am really really enjoying it at the moment, I love it when things all add up! I blame MSE for that!

Will retrieve my goals from the old thread and send them to you Dinah, if you want any help with anything just shout. Love the new thread title by the way! And as for the cake, what can I say?! The celery sticks I'm nibbling on just didn't cut it after that!
    Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44
    Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid
  • Right I think I've thought of my goals:

    - Lose 5lbs
    - Bring packed lunch for 16 remaining work days (1/16)
    - Get to payday without dipping into my savings account
    - Finish crocheting 2 baby blankets (currently at about 40% and 7% finished)
    - Get my 5k PB under 35 minutes (current 35.04 so sounds easy but I don't think it will be!)

Is this the right kind of thing? Number 3 will be difficult as I wanto to buy a coat and shoes whilst the student 20% discount's on, and also have to book flights to Ireland for Nov...

Well done on all the weight loss Cinny you're a total machine - are you really seeing the difference?

Birdie - does the HP lanyard allow you to apparate on the other side of the door without actually having to use your pass?! ;)

Good morning, happy new thread - let's see if I can keep up with this one a bit better, I miss you girls and boys. Off to make a cuppa and have a look at your SOA and to do list! x

PS does this mean the Ultimate Challenge thing is over and I can erase my paltry effort from my sig?! :o

Lol yes you can delete it.
:rotfl:Loving the soup, totally going to follow your lead (not to the same extent!!) as I'm craving soup these days - I think it's the dark mornings (then I don't see daylight in my little windowless cupboard so my brain thinks it's still dark).

OK well I've had a look and anything I was going to suggest you've planned to have rid of by next month anyway. Good Luck!

What are the October Goals - anything we like? I'll have a think - need to check my banks and get my monies in order. Normally do stuff like that at work but with being so busy it's got neglected a bit and I don't really know where I am

Hope everyone else is well :)

Yep anything you like... ETA I see you've added them now, I'll add them to the Goals post.

Did celery ever really cut it Shrimpy?!

    Thank God!

I hate celery so much, even in sauces etc - blegh!

Do you just make your soups up yourself Dinah or what recipes do you use? Mine always end up a sort of all-vegetable concoction!

One that I made was generic root veg, some are my own recipe (Cauliflower & Parmesan, Swede & Cardamom), some are family recipes (Carrot & Orange, Apple & Parsnip) and some are from BBC Good Food (French onion, honeyed carrot, creamy sweetcorn). NIM was always taking generic vegetable so I thought since we had so much veg it might be nice to create a bit of variety.
