Wow Cinny what a difference already! Brilliant to see the effects like that, must be a great motivator
I'll totally be reading that Tumblr all afternoon now!
Hi Minnime!
Can I ask a moneyrelated question seeing as we're only on page 2? Tesco clubcard rewards. I've just signed myself up to the website, had a card for about a year. It says I have £12 worth of vouchers but I thought I only had the £4.50 voucher in my purse? Is the difference just vouchers they've sent me and I've lost?! And what do I need to do to convert store vouchers to rewards ones, or do I just chuck the store ones when they arrive in the mail and spend the online ones on rewards?
ETA - I've been a bit like that recently Ruby, no idea what I'm spending it on, need to rein myself in! Sorry about the job but you don't sound too fussed so maybe not meant to be.
Birdie, do you think that's because no-one wants the pink?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Minnime!!
And welcome too, I suppose!
Just been having a look at laptops (because why would I be working?!) and the best one in our price range just happens to only be available in pink, other colours are more expensive, I didn't even engineer that to happen! OH doesn't believe me though.
Sometimes life is just awesome to you! I was a bit upset when I got my laptop, I think it's the old dell (before they added the switchy covers) so they were being sold off for peanuts really. And the only one I could find in stock for miles was blue. I wanted pink, blue's for boys!
I mareswell let the cat out of the bag I suppose, I've been keeping it a secret because I am such a potty mouth it's unreal. Only Zig really knew about it, and another savvy MSE'r who tracked me downbut I have a weight loss tuuumblargh which you can see here if you like! There's a link to the progress pictures in the sidebar where you can see my impression of a whale. Ugh!

Ooh lovely new thread, love how it makes everything feel optimistic and positive! I'll copy my October goals across tomorrow when I'm home.
Cinny I could do with a stern kick on the fitness front, Managed one day of shred so far due to early starts/hangover/a strangely weak pair of ankles/staying at bfs. Would love to see your pics if you felt like sharing, I need inspiration! Been googling for before and after shred pics but only found a couple and they were mainly people who had quite a lot to lose (Not that that's not amazing! Just its nice to replate it more to your own body shape)
ETA: you beat me to itWhit wooo, looking good! Think we're pretty similar weights etc so if you can do it so can I!
Soups look amazing Dinah! Whats the honeyed carrot recipe? Sounds yum.
Hi minnime!
Better get back to working so I'll catch up with everything else later, just told we're getting some kind of payrise across the company. Not sure if I will get it as I'm on a contract but least it's nice for everyone else even if I don't.

Errr... I haven't looked at my Tesco Clubcard rewards since Christmas so could be all wrong (I ordered a bunch of vouchers which never arrived and I need to chase up because it was about £40 worth of rewards!) but you need the codes from each voucher to convert into the rewards vouchers online so hold onto them and scribble on them as you enter them so you don't get confused. If you seem to be missing some then give them a call and ask for them to be re-issued. It may be that the total is including what's due to you in the next mail-out though?Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Birdie, do you think that's because no-one wants the pink?!
Quite possibly! No idea why someone wouldn't want a pretty pink lappy though?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Can't help with the clubcard thing Tete, sorry! I thought they started adding them to your online account a while back? So theres a place with all your unused vouchers listed? Why am I terrified the man came initiation kit includes nipple clamps, a set of undies made solely out of love hearts, a jar of bees, and a spear?
I think you ordered the wrong thing there Dinah. All I got was a form the size of the yellow pages, a werther's orginal and a photo of a pug dressed up in a top hat.
Glad to be of help, Archers! I'm 5ft5 and 155lb now, if that's anything like your stats. I also do Zumba and go on the exercise bike a fair bit for my exercise. I'm sure you'll find what works for you!
And hello SmartCat!! :hello:0 -
Dinah
I'm going to be harsh with you! I know you will appreciate it eventually, although you will hate me to begin with, do you remember being harsh with Cinny when she wanted to buy some expensive boots???
You don't need all those expensive holidays, please don't try to justify them with 'we get them with clubcard points etc' as when you break it down you have to buy extra things to get the points. Also as much as you try not to spend much when you are actually on holiday, it adds up. I know you say you 'need' your holidays, but is that need greater than the need to get out of debt, the stress that goes with it and putting starting a family on hold??
Some of those interest rates are rediculously high, you MUST tackle these first, your debt is not around the £30k you say but actually a lot higher if you work out how much you owe plus all the interest it is going to cost you.
Why do your family have debts in your name (on your CCs) this must be cleared and stopped!
Why is NIM giving you the jewellry from the MSs, I know it is nice but you cannot aford it at the moment, ebay them, it will save you loads of money in the long run.
Reading your posts you have come across as envious of Cinny, in the real world you would just be excited for her. This is what I worry about, I think the debt is making you depressed and making you look at things in a different manner.
You said you needed to get married quickly as you had to start a family soon because of your medical problems..this appeared to have changed, you have gotten in so much debt this major part of your life has had to go on hold.
You have over spent on holidays, the wedding and your house. Now is the time to rein things in. I know you and NIM can do this, you are an amazing devoted couple, don't let the debt drag you down.
Telling off over, I hope I haven't upset you too much, i'm just so frustrated for you, you did such an amazing job of getting out of debt before I cannot believe things have got this bad.
Hurry up, I want you over on the MFW board!
