Oh that's so sad Cinny, I really hope he'll come to his sense soon, sadly it'll probably be once she's bled him dry. :(

I can't believe how much weight you've lost, you're a slither of your former self! Well done to your OH too :) Annoyingly my OH has no spare weight to lose and still managed to lose 2lbs last week. He told me that when I get pregnant I'm 'allowed' to gain 8lbs as that's how much a baby weighs! Think he's in for a shock! ;)

Oh and as for the pull-up, I can now jump up and hang for about 3 seconds before lowering myself down, rather than before when I was just falling straight away! Might be able to actually pull myself up soon! :)

I'm scared of how bad it will get with my brother. At the moment it very much is a case of she's your call but we don't want to associate with her, but as time goes on if they get serious and she becomes a permanent fixture I'm so scared it will be the stake that drives our otherwise close family apart.

Aw sorry to hear that, it's really sad - and so frustrating when you can't make people see things as you do without coming across as the bad guy. Sounds like you're doing the right thing by taking a step back - no advice I'm afraid :(

Hey Cinny, nice to hear from you! Sorry about your sibling woes too though, hope time will resolve the issue one way or another.

Well done on your weight loss Birdie, that's fab! In just one week?! Keep it up and you definitely deserve a weekend away treat! I'm being properly virtuous, but it's slow progress...

Everything's a bit up in the air here; busy wedding planning, job hunting, house decorating, healthy eating... BUT I'm going to India on Friday!

I only booked flights at the end of last week - to stay with a friend who is living out there which is super exciting! It's the last opportunity I'll have to do it, so I'm bl00dy going to do it. I had £450 saved up which I'd hoped to use for NYC flights for my 30th, but it didn't happen, so I used that and I'll hardly spend anything when I'm there. Still slightly panicked though!

Yay for your Fat Face bargains Dinah, I bet their stuff does make lovely maternity wear. I hope you're not really worrying about baby brain and baby gain - sounds reasonable to me!

Eeee slap him Birdie! Does he want a healthy baby or a skinny wife? A healthy gain for someone who has a bmi below 30 is 25-45lbs. By 16 weeks you've gained 2 litres of blood (about 5lbs) and overall you'll gain as much muscle weight as actual baby weight (around 8-12lbs of muscle).

Enjoy India Poddle, how long are you going for? I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

I'm not really worrying tbh (well, I'm a little worried the baby brain will cause permanent damage to me or the house) but I guess I'm thinking a bit ahead to having to be in a no doubt unflattering bridesmaids dress 5 months after giving birth and I'm not looking forward to it.

Ooooh India, how fab! How long are you going for?

My loss was just in 1 week (well, 5 days really) TBH it'll be mostly water weight at this point, but I'm still pretty pleased! OH says I no longer have the 'carb face' that I get when I have too much starchy stuff which is nice! :)

Blimey I had no idea that you gained so much during pregnancy, I mean, I know you put a fair bit on, but the numbers are a bit scary! OH's only joking though, don't worry! Although I fear that he'll be expecting me to get back to post pregnancy body as quickly as the celebs do... but once he realises that the only way that'll happen is if he looks after a screaming baby for 6 hours a day whilst I work out he may change his mind! ;)

That said I wasn't too great till D fell pregnant either.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Think you've answered your own question/critique there :p

He knows more than some of our friends, one guy has to ask his wife how long babies take to grow (thought it was a year!) and another asked me how long it takes for a pregnant woman to get fat! :rotfl:

If you plan to breastfeed Birdie you should be fine - it burns 500cals a day. That's my entire post-baby-body plan aside from a few walks out with the buggy!

however, you also need to eat more when BF to ensure baby gets enough.
