Not sure if they are still doing it but when I was pregnant, if you search 'nuby uk' on facebook and join their page they had a thing on where you send them your scan picture and they would send you a breast pump. As I say dont know if they are still doing that offer but I think they usually do different things on their facebook page.

Ahh what a lovely friend you have! Patchwork blanket will be fab!

Already planning on getting mould resistant paint don't worry! :) Once we've got all the furniture out I'm going to go over the carpet with the carpet cleaner about 5 times too. I do not want it coming back! Although I fear it'll still attack things, I'm going to try to limit the damage, getting furniture with feet to lift if off the floor for one thing and we might have to find a permanent but discreet place to keep a dehumidifier.

Oooh swimming, there's an idea, we've not done that for ages; we went through a phase of going most sundays but kind of fell out that for some reason. I'll suggest that to OH!

Thanks Flower, I've had a quick look but nothing going.

I assume it is completely normal to feel like you're having a complete mental breakdown during pregnancy? I just burst out crying because I couldn't remember my banking phone pin. I had horrible nightmares last night (gushing blood, lost the baby/had the baby NIM refused to come to it's Christening and as a result while waiting for him the vicar had a heart attack and died, several old people got lost in the church and lost their marbles and someone stole our oddly blonde baby. End result we got divorced). Woke up crying from them too. I don't feel I can sleep at the moment for fear of the nightmares as I've had them all week.

I'm really worried I'll forget Sunday is one year since Grandma died and forget to call mum. She's mentioned it as Saturday to me a few times though, but she died Saturday last year, which makes it Sunday this year unless we're doing some new and bizarre family calender thing where we only use days in relation to other days rather than actual numbers ie Grandma died on the first day of the 3rd weekend in the month.

She's probably thinking it as Saturday because it's only been a year so she knows she died on Saturday rather than the specific date perhaps, call her both days just to cover all bases. Can't believe it's been a year, hope everyone is OK this weekend and you look after each other.

Nightmares sound horrid, no wonder you're waking up crying! You've got to love those hormones whizzing around making you crazy! ;)

Birdie - Hope you manage to persuade the family to help you out with a deposit. We live in a grund floor flat (only renting) and is fine for baby and nice and spacious but i would love a garden in the summer. We will be looking soon for a rental house as our contract ends April.

Dinah - your friend sounds lovely, how thoughtful!

Speaking of swimming took Poppy this morning with her little friends and her new swimming costume, we had a lovely time.
Hoping to keep up taking her on fridays as will be my day off work.

My Mum and sister are coming up tomorrow which will be nice! We can do some wedding planning hehe.

I can't belive you're back at work soon Wendz, it feels like yesterday you had Poppy.

I've started getting all damp eyed around the thread of late, it's been going on so long and there's very much a 'look at how we've all grown' feeling around it for me.

Baby brain still going strong. Just found the landline in the dustbin, realised I forgot to tell NIM my brother got back with his ex a week ago, and I forgot to tell him something else he was shocked about.... but I forgot what it was that I forgot :o

Baby brain sounds fun! TBH I don't think OH would notice the difference if it happened to me, I'm already useless! :o

Just chopped up my strawberries for a snack, and very neatly scraped them all into the bin! WHY?! Don't have any more either. I feel sitting very still is the most useful and least dangerous I can be to myself today.

Newcastle has a very special pull, I have a bit of a tendency to cry every time I go over the Tyne Bridge :o

So, we're off to London next weekend. It's my cousin's engagement party, and we were only invited middle of this week as it's a bit short notice and we weren't going to go, but I'm so cabin fevery we were considering making the trip. Then I spoke to mum and dad and they're quite keen to go too, so we can share the petrol costs making it much more reasonable. I was looking on hotels.com and we were going to get the Holiday Inn for £45 a night (parking extra) but then I went on Trivago and one of these last minute hotel sites had the Hilton for £52 with parking included so that should be a bit nicer to stay in and give us a nice night away from home. Looking forward to seeing family, but it will also be good for mum to get away as she's getting a bit run ragged as my grandad moved in at Christmas as he wasn't very mobile after his fall, so she's been running him around and feels bad leaving him home alone, but my brother is down from uni with possible glandular fever so he can be with grandad for the night.
