I've won a couple of bundles actually, I figure I can keep the bits I like and resell the rest.
Yes I've moved an ISA - martin has a guide to which is the best buy you can transfer previous year's into. For me I had to fill in a form and post it off and they did the rest.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yay for getting the maternity bundles Dinah.

Hey Everyone
I finally got through the chaos that was this week. Today we are off to OH's parents in Devon to stay for the weekend which will be lovely. It's all nice reading work and Christmas parties from here on in :j
Tink -I move my ISA each year, and it's as easy as Dinah says.

Tinkerbel, I did move an isa last year too. Got lost inbetween banks. It was a hussle, after 3 months it finally arrived to the right ISA and I had to withdraw the money after a week. Wasn't worth the trouble:(. And also for the 3 months it was lost I got the interest from old bank Isa which was nothing.0

Just been informed whole business getting 20% pay cut, as will be working 4 day weeks come January.
:(:(
Pretty glum! But feeling even more certain I've done the right thing leaving to travel now. Just annoyed that my travel expenses won't change as I'll still need my season ticket. At least I don't have a mortgage and family etc though.

When do you leave the job Archers? Might you be able to get something part time/some work from home to make up the drop in wages? Seems several people on here are not having a very merry Christmas work-wise, which (politely and eloquently) sucks.
Having an emotional day and I don't know why, I was positively gleeful at the first snow, then I read a lady I talk to on another forum has effectively lost her husband at age 29 to a series of huge strokes they don't expect him to recover from, a week later he's only just showing signs of responding to light. He's expected to need round the clock care for the rest of his life, and she's 34 weeks pregnant with their first baby, and it's just an appalling situation to happen to a happy couple at one of the most exciting times of their lives.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh my gosh Dinah how heartbreaking
Praying that he somehow makes an amazing recovery, that poor lady.
I finish 5 weeks after xmas holidays, so it'll be my last full pay packet that's hit, the one after that will only be 4 days wages. I'm going to get ebaying etc on my days off to try make up the shortfall. I'm only a couple of hundred down as my salary's not high anyway, but this would go a long way while travelling!

Try to turn it to your advantage, look into travel etc while you're over there, use the time to find a way to save some money on expenses during the trip, without cutting back on the experience.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
