Hope you are feeling a bit better today Dinah.
Went to the shops yesterday afternoon to get last stocking filler for OH and ended up buying another present for Poppy oops! Don't think we are going down this weekend now so I have no idea how we are going to get all these presents in the car for driving down for Christmas.0 -
I'm a bit more upbeat, got a good night's sleep, although getting a lot of grief off my hip for some reason.
Sorry for the lack of money update, surprise surprise, I fell asleep.
Currently looking at needing to spend £960 by the end of the month.... plus a bit of maternity wear. Somehow I don't think December's £7 a day is going to happenDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad you got some sleep.I think December is a bit of a write off money wise, hopefully things will be easier again next year.0

We asked her what Santa said and all she told us was that he said she had to go to bed early Christmas eve. Yeah like that will happen this year. I think i need to make stores of patience to dip into on Christmas eve as she is already starting to wind up now. It's hard though as school are talking about christmas all the time with concerts and breaking up for the holidays, and church are practicing for their nativities and we light the advent wreath every week so it gets mentioned then. Obviously it's such a big event in the church calendar but everytime it gets mentioned she gets a little bit more excited.
Think she's going to be a little disappointed in church on Christmas day though as she is looking forward to seeing Jesus blow out his birthday candle! :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Mystery shopping is finally paying off what it owes, still got a bit tied up with bare and a couple of other companies. I need to get my details through to a company who owe me near 300quid before the 15th, read tonight.
Owed quite a bit by 2 others one of whom takes AGES to pay. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Whoop. Just got my lottery money out the work fund for the year. £27..clearly it wasn't our year.
Be good for you to pop to the discounter tomorrow evening too, get that £75 back as well.
I keep looking at our essential spends this month and sighing and wondering if they're really hard and fast.
Mattress - argument for getting a new one: Our current one is mouldy. £350ish
Baby First Aid course - could save our child's life, and it's the only one on a weekend until May, and I'll be too big by then. £37.50 each.
Car service - the car is making a weird noise £90ish
Advanced Driving course - NIM is not the most observant lately and I'm scared of him driving the baby and I'm sure it will pay for itself through reduced insurance and not having to repair other people's cars. £130ish
NCT course - the one I'm struggling to justify most. I hear it's really good on the social aspects of having a baby and it would be a good way to calm my complete fear that I may kill the baby. £200 or so for 15 hours
Pregnancy pilates course: The only one in my area, I'm hoping it might ease some of my aches and pains and give me a bit more energy. Haven't booked this though as I'm a wuss if it snows and won't want to go out the house! On the plus side it is at 4.30pm so wouldn't actually be leaving the house, just stopping on the way home. Downside it means parking on the busiest high street on earth at 4.30 on a Friday just after all the schools get out. £59 for 6 classes.
Help my thought processes girlies and ralph-parties. Are these sensible spends or should I cut some of them? None would take us further into debt, just stop us paying more off.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

The mattress and car do seem like things that will need to be paid for.
That seems quite expensive for the first aid course. Our local surestart does one frequently run by St Johns Ambulance for £10. That reminds me I keep meaning to sign up for it.
With the NCT , my mum friends who did it found it to be good in terms of meeting people but they weren't absolutely raving about it. Also they now all seem to spend more time with people they met at groups rather than at nct as they aren't all as local. I must admit though the NHS antenatal isn't great and i knew most of the stuff they taught us from baby forums/books etc already but I don't think i needed any more help with anything.0
