Haha, your work sounds like fun Birdie! I am *sooooo* glad it's Friday. Got a stack of work to get through today and more work to do on Sunday - but tomorrow is a day off :j :j And I get to pick up my new glasses!!
I didn't realise it was Children in Need, whoops. I put aside tomorrow for sausage making (finally) but don't know if I can be bothered. So tired at the minute, approaching burnout and my essay is only half done and still needs redrafting about a billion times.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Sorry to hear about the impending burnout Lara, maybe sausage making is just what you need as a distraction?!
I'm feeling like a right little MSE-er today; going to buy OH some X-box Live points for Christmas and actually sat here with my calculator working out which deal is best for points per pound!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Birdie, I want to come and work with you! There are only 3 of us in my office so we aren't doing anything, I was enjoying listening to the Radio 2 special but our accountant is in now so I have had to turn it off temporarily. Going to a quiz at my friend's school tonight though which is in aid of it.
And I really really want a mince pie now! Hopefully they will be selling them tonight..?
I saved all the nice Christmas cards I received last year to recycle into gift tags, and I actually got round to doing it last night, have decimated my ribbon stash but actually think they look really good (maybe my expectations were just low!) so am itching to get wrapping now! MSE points for me too!
The only major thing I need to get is an iTunes voucher to finish off Mum's pressie, am waiting for a deal so if anyone sees any please let me know?
Lara I agree that doing something non-work related will give you a good mental break, but maybe don't do the sausage making if you're just doing it because you feel you should? You don't want it to be a chore. Although it sounds fun so I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you get going! Makes me think of the apprentice task, although I'm sure you'll be much better at it than they were!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
To be fair it's only me/my team who are dressed up, and one lady has changed because she was too cold! Everyone else is pretty boring, but I suppose that's what you get for working in IT! Although there are a few fancy moustaches on the go for Movember which is nice!
Good idea about the gift tags Shrimpy, I might see if I've got any old cards to cut up, and I know I've got more than enough ribbon! OH is getting his Dad an itunes voucher too so if we find a good deal I'll let you know.
ETA: It looks like Boots may be doing 20% off, going to check it out after work!
My Mum just sent me a text asking, 'If Santa was to buy you a Fat Face hat would it be grey or cream?'... wonder what that cryptic message means?! She's useless at surprises!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ohhh OH has got a Movember moustache, I know its for a good cause and I'm proud of him of course, but I really hate it! It makes him look like a creepy sex pest! I wish he'd just wax his legs or sit in a bath of cold beans or something!
Lol at your mum Birdie, mine kept asking for a christmas list then got really cross when I asked for the Cath Kidston crochet tin as she'd already bought it for me! She didn't have to tell me did she? Not sure it will make me any better at crochet but it looks pretty. I managed quite a neat row the other day, feel I may be ready to graduate onto the next stage as that is currently all I know how to do!
Thanks for the Boots tip, am off to town tomorrow so will check it out.Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

Are we not supposed to wrap yet?
Uhoh....

Ooooh pretty! Its never to early to wrap, I just need to figure out a big enough cat proof hiding place first! None of our internal doors shut properly so the cats rule the roost at present!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0

Lol I did wonder if you'd pick up on that. We bought it at Christmas, it's been sat in a bag in the conservatory since then. Until today.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
