Hehe, old book clearout... trying to work out whether to stick them in the garage for a car boot, or just stick everything up on ebay in one big lot and hope someone will buy them off me. I'm veering towards that option tbh, in a serious declutter mode.

I'm not bloody well repainting the house again.:mad::mad:
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

I don't expect you to paint don't worry dear, I'd rather do it myself since I find it relaxing and you become like a caged animal! Besides which I don't want to repaint anywhere atm, just touch up the hall and our bedroom door frame.

Job lots generally do ok on ebay don't they? And at least then they'd all be gone in one go! I got 150+ books on freecycle last year, the people I had them off had obviously tried carbooting them as they were all individually priced (!) but quite expensive, I sold them at 20p each or 6 for £1 just to get rid then took the odd leftovers to the charity shop - didn't think of ebay. Worth it as I was car booting anyway but they didn't really bring a lot in TBH (although they were the cheapest there by a mile so did attract interest to the stall generally). This was back when I was in my debt clearing groove obviously :o

Hello everyone, sorry I have not been around but the hour long drive to and back from work has taken its effect on me. Was impressed Friday evening was so quiet ;)

In other news, having a real problem keeping the bank account anywhere near balanced as we are spending on new bedding and bits but at the same time no internet at home (apart from a dongle I have borrowed from work) due to a !!!! up in the exchange. Waiting on Sky contacting BT Openreach (god help me!), so got fed up with nobody giving me any clear answers and I know it is BT Openreach that screwed up that I have emailed BT's CEO and no have an official complaint in with the executive level complaints team for them to deal with Openreach. Hopefully it gets resolved sooner rather than later as it does mean I cannot work from home till resolved if I need to be here.

Also, have 2 radiators (Hall and Living Room) that have decided to spring a leak. Landlord is trying to organise getting the system flushed, filter fitted new compression thingy and then radiators replaced.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, they were very much appreciated. You're all so lovely :kisses3: I feel so much better having had a couple of days relaxing with family. They have been brilliant - I have been so emotional and taken it out on them at times. I'm ok as long as I don't dwell on it really! It's 8 days tomorrow so really busy at the mo, getting very excited!

Wendz I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma too. I'm so pleased for you that she got to meet Poppy. I'm sure it brought such positivity to her life :) Hope you're ok x

Flower I'm glad you and Noah are well. That's great news that you've been taking him to baby groups! Well done for being brave! x

My Mum just sent me a text asking, 'If Santa was to buy you a Fat Face hat would it be grey or cream?'... wonder what that cryptic message means?! She's useless at surprises! :p

That really made me giggle! :D Bless your Mum!

A teeny part of me is a little jealous of all this festive planning! I'm sure I'll forget about it when I'm sat on a beach in a fortnight though haha. :p

    Morning,

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Poolie - hope the internet gets sorted soon.

Zig - glad you are feeling a lot better. Ohh only 8 days and i am sure you won't care about christmas when sat on the beach hehe.

I went down to see my mum and dad for a couple of days with my sister and Poppy and was nice to all be together. We went out for the day on Friday and had lunch out and then we went to see the coca cola lorries which were in my home town. There was a massive queue to have pics taken but we didn't queue.

When we got back up here yesterday we went to a Christmas Bazaar at the local church. My sister bought a toy and cardy for Poppy and we won some chocolate on the tombola and had a mince pie.

The funeral for my Grandma is probably going to be on the 29th, they just need to get it confirmed.

Running low on money this month and just over a week till payday. Glad i kept my christmas budget seperately as that is still doing Ok.

I genuinely think our debt will have actually grown this month. Coupled with the car insurance, MOT, tyres etc, I've just gone and knocked out my front tooth so need to go to the emergency dentist tomorrow which is usually about £300.

ETA: It's a veneer partial tooth, knocked about 1/3 of my front tooth off roller blading when I was 13 - I'm not just amazingly blaze about knocking out a tooth. On a crumpet. Hard core.
