What I'm looking for is Adobe Illustrator really, they tend to do some software deals at 50% off, and Illustrator is something I really, really need for the business but keep putting it off as it's over £200. Can't see anything today which hints it could be it though.

I'm waiting for the sat nav, getting mum 1 for xmas, it wouldn't be my first choice of model but ill go for it if its a good deal.

Glad the tooth is fixed hopefully heading to south America in Feb, mainly Argentina and boliva I think. Bit scared of jacking in a secure job when I look at the graduate unemployment figures but think ill regret it otherwise...

Good news about the quick fix at the dentist Dinah, I'd warn you off eating hard foods but if you broke it on a crumpet then what the heck is safe to eat?!

On a completely unrelated note, I've just brought in warm Waitrose Heston's mince pies with pine sugar dusting to work (for our Mince Pie Tasting Club!) and they are freakin' awesome! I would like to eat 6 more now please. :drool:

Oooh and finally I'm the owner of Nigella's Christmas book! I've been after it for a couple of years but could never find it for a price I was happy with, £12.49 on Amazon now though so I decided that was good enough! I could really do with a few days off before Christmas so I can make all of the yummy things in there!

Birdie I definitely want to come and work with you! I talked OH out of going to Waitrose at the weekend as well... I do have some Jammy Dodgers at work but they are distinctly less festive.

Urgh with you there Wendz. We did our Big Shop yesterday but surprisingly didn't spend too much although that's probably because we've missed a lot! We've got a new system for shopping... OH does it and I float about looking at the books and clothes then throw in the odd foody item that I want! It's good, although he's not too good at making sure there are evening meals for me so I end up with some odd combos!

Just been given the keys for the company car I'm to drive to this course tomorrow, been told with a warning that it's brand new so take care! :eek: Also that the handbrake is a button... how odd! Scared of the hill I have to drive up to get home now in case I get stuck... or roll down it because I've not actually engaged the brake! :eek:

Picked up my new glasses on Friday, pleased to report they are AWESOME So glad I spent lots of money on something quirky - now just to get some other decent clothes. I am definitely looking studenty lately - and not in a good way.

The 'bargain' slippers for my sis haven't arrived yet, but I checked them out in Accessorize and I think I picked the ugly ones. G u t t e d. Sometimes Grabbit is not a good thing.

Today I went on a personal development course thing for women. It was ok, some good, some a bit more self-help-y. I have a low threshold for cringe. I know these messages of self-esteem are important but can't they be delivered in a more cynical way Think I might belong in the man cave!

Birdie - am so jealous about the pine sugar!! Would love to buy some but I freakishly don't like mince pies. Glad you got your Nigella in the end x

I can't handle self help either Lara, I just want to shake them and say 'get a grip, stop whining and chanting and just do it!'

Made some decent ebay sales of nearly £200 last night, nothing much left on there at the moment hoping for another free listing weekend this weekend.

Labour: Induced (had 3 sweeps which did nothing so I kind of knew I wasn't going to go naturally) but much quicker and easier than when I had DD!
