Hope you manage to take some of it in Birdie, is difficult when you are being bombarded with it. Car sounds good!
Have managed to do a few little jobs today. Paid in our change we have collected to natwest towards christmas presents, also got new library books.
My Boots points from the deal have now been confirmed yay so need to put my card in the machine to claim them. My sister wants some mini perfumes to take on her work trips so will be using points to get them.0 -
Dinah, wondered if you had seen this and if it was an option for your books? Low value by the looks of it but good for getting rid maybe?Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0

Glad the course went well yesterday Birdie, good luck with the test tomorrow. Saw this this morning and thought of you.
Which Boots deal is this Wendz? I'm still waiting to hear about the living social points, don't know if I'll get an email?
Thanks Shrimpy, but I don't quite understand, it doesn't have a website name on that post?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yes its the living social one. You can check if you log on Boots treat street if the points have been put in your account. Then you have to put your card in the machine to get them.
I think that book thing might be amazon , saw it earlier on a thread. They are giving vouchers for some books, not much but better than a penny i think.
Hows the blood pressure now?0 -
It doesn't look like they're there - there are also no tracked transactions.... hmm.
Blood pressure is good thank you, many tablets have it well controlled although back at the hospital in 2 weeks.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad you are feeling a bit better.0 -
Thanks Wendz, have emailed them.
Was ruthless today and had a cookbook cull and listed them all on Amazon, I'm about 30 books lighter, but I just keep reminding myself I can never actually use this many books, so I've tried to keep the best one on each cookery type (except baking, that has its own shelf!).Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi everyone, there is so much to catch up on here, the thread moves too quick for my liking! Back on night shifts this week, with 2 extra nights overtime added in, I should have an extra £250 coming to me in the next couple of week. It will make up for my manager not putting everyone's rota on this e-roster thing and therefore we're not getting our enhancements paid in our December pay. That means basic pay all round and well, it's a lot short of £1,000 for me and then 5 weeks till the next pay day. Don't quite know how I'm going to sort it. The savings pots might have to stagnate for a little bit.
On a brighter note, I had my graduation yesterday from my MSc. It was a bit of a shambles really, but I got my 5 minutes alone on the stage because I was the only one graduating from the courseFeels a bit weird knowing that I don't have any plans for further education in the near future. Just need to try and find a "proper" job now. I'm suprised the hospital hasn't tried to fire me because I'm the most over-qualified healthcare assistant they have!
