Cam belt on my last car cost £220, I figured they were all about the same! The stove, I didn't think it needed building regs (£350) if installed by a HEATAS company...we've decided to get another quote from a friend of my granddads as he's a recently redundant fireplace installer, and granddads mates always give me good prices.

Thank you girls To be honest, I'm looking forward to leaving, it just feels even more emotional because I'm more emotional at the mo.

I know there are gonna be people who think it is maybe inappropriate for me to say what I'm about to post, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm pretty anonymous on here and I can't sleep and I need to vent a bit. So apologies in advance..

On Sunday I miscarried but I didn't know I was pregnant. It was only about a month but I'm kinda struggling. I just feel a bit empty and weird. It's stupid really seeings as I didn't even realise I was pregnant (although I should have as all the signs were there). Just feel very teary and drained. Makes you realise how valuable your friends and family are so the thought of saying bye to them in 12 days is a bit rubbish! I'm sure I'll be feeling more normal by then though.

Life is funny sometimes isn't it. I definitely feel like I've been tested the last few months. Hope 2012 is better!

Sorry to hear that Zig, must be hard even if you didn't know.

My Grandma died last night in hospital , I was hoping she was going to get better again. She was my only Grandparent left. Am glad I made her happy by becoming a great Grandparent though.

Oh Zig, I'm really sorry, it doesn't matter that you didn't know you were pregnant, it's still a terrible loss to have to deal with, can't believe all the emotions you must be feeling right now. I don't think it's inappropriate to talk about it on here, we all care about you and we'd just worry more if you said that 'something' had happened without specifying!

I'm sure 2012 has great things in store for you, jetting off to Oz will do wonders I know; it'll take your mind off all the rubbish that's happened to you recently and it'll be fantastic to start a new year in a new land (and you'll get to welcome it well before the rest of us do so let us know what 2012's like!)

Dinah, sorry to hear about the expensive day, that's quite a shocker! Hope Granddad's friend comes back with a much better quote!

Oooh and we're going to see the Coca Cola Christmas truck in York on the 4th December!

ETA: Cross posted Wendz... I'm so sorry for you too. Poppy would have made her so happy, especially when you visited her in hospital so do I hope that gives you some comfort. Oh I feel all teary with the sad news today, sending hugs up and down the country

I'm so sorry for your losses both of you, nothing I say makes either any easier.

It doesn't matter that you didn't know Zig, it still feels like a loss and you have to grieve it however feels right to you.

Wendz I'm really sorry about your grandma. I'm sure knowing Poppy brought her much happiness and it's a blessing she got to.

Such a sad day, so sorry wendz. It's nice she got to see you and poppy recently though. Which side of the family was she on? Is your mum/dad ok?

Aww no, so sorry to you both Zig and Wendz.

Zig that must be difficult, I am sure you're feeling a bit conflicted about the whole thing. It's natural to be sad and emotional, be good to yourself and take it easy.

Wendz so sorry to hear about your Nan At least you visited her so recently with Poppy, she must have been so happy to see you both. At least she had happy times with you right up until her passing, and she knew how much you cared.

It was my Dads Mum, think he is ok but he doesn't show his emotions much. OH got told to come home so he is here with me now which is nice and Poppy is giving me lots of cuddles.

Also in more happier news the coca cola trucks are here on the 20th decemeber, hoping we can go althpugh i'm sure the supermarket carpark will be packed.
