OMG, that's a brilliant idea:T:T (and thanks to Badger too!) - I had no idea you could mark them privateso will def look at how to do that tomorrow!
That should solve it (weekdays anyway!) :j:j
ETA will be looking at the phone app for the weekends!
I do like to be useful
It should be fairly easy to find on the appointment pop-up - on one version of Outlook it was a tick box on the bottom right, in another it's a little padlock on the right of the top bar together with the little exclamation mark for marking things Important. It shows up to other people as just 'Private Appointment' and to you it adds the little padlock symbol.
I have an Android phone and now export my work appointments to my Google calendar - it only sends them outwards, and doesn't put my personal ones in the work calendar, which is ruddy marvellous. Now I know what I've got coming up at work any time, and don't have to run two diaries - I just put all my personal stuff in Google calendar via my phone, and the work stuff gets added automatically :T You can probably do something similar with an iphone. So you could have your work reminder also sent to your phone if that would help when you're at home for lunch? I now have no idea how I organised my life without it
Hope the new meds work out well.

Hi Rising, I've just got back from another 3 day business trip and others have made my suggestions; phone and outlook private recurring events (appointments block the time slot and show the padlock, implying you must not be interrupted whereas tasks just pop up on your screen) except one suggestion - I now count my meds when I clean my teeth morning and night. I see the Doc again today and will be coming off the last tablet I've been taking for nearly 40 years (too old to take it now - it's not safe for me
) but whereas everything was on a particular shelf in the bathroom cabinet, one item now won't fit because it is too tall so counting is my way of remembering how many things in the morning (when I'm dopy)
Don't know if this might help

Yup, it was the one with the wee padlock- all set up as a reoccurring appointment every weekday :T. I've done it for just after lunch & have the pop-up reminder on, so hopefully shouldn't miss any this way!:D

Well, I'm afraid I can't ignore it anymore ..... have spent the last 3 days trying to convince myself I just had really bad hayfever but think I need to admit defeat that it's actually the lurgi :(
Spent the morning on the sofa (much to Maisie's disgust as she couldn't get on it :rotfl:) and am totally washed out IYKWIM.
Dragged myself to Mr T (not my fav shop but they did have the stuff I wanted on offer and I had £12.50 in MOC so .....).
Stopped at the beach on the way and did finally manage to persuade Maisie to go onto it (strange dog!) - I guess it must feel really odd, as the sand will move under her feet, if you've not been on it before. She still ran away from the wavesbut did go for a paddle in a rock pool
.
Actually quite enjoyed it and it probably did me good to get out for a while but totally shattered again nowand was a bit naughty & bought a pizza for tea as just can't be a*sed to cook
.
The yellow thing in the sky made an appearance earlier :T - wish it would come out more often tho'!
