    Hi Goldie,

I don't mind Onepoll so much as I do it in my breaks at work.. it takes forever to get to pay out though :(

I'm hoping for an increase in the Youg0v surveys around election time, they seem to like to know how people want to vote..

I don't find this one too bad www.i-say.com but you may have already tried it.. it used to be Ipsos I think.

    Bonjour

Not been on the MFW boards for a while :o I've kind of lost my mojo...

But it's payday for me so I need to get my head back in it.. although everything swims along quite nicely without my input now :((maybe that's why I've lost the mojo!)

    • wages transferred to offset account until they are needed to pay for other stuff - half put into savings
    • £178 'free' council tax money OP'd to mortgage and £22 to round it up to £200 :D
    • £6.59 of interest earned OP'd to mortgage
    • £6.32 OP'd to mortgage to round monthly payment up to £1000
    • £350 overtime pymt into offset - January weekend working
    • annual bill money trf'd to offset
    • credit card pymts made

and that's all I have for today :( boring innit..:D

Must remind myself why i'm doing this
    • redundancies are prevalent in my job - signs are that the place will be closing within 5-10 years, maybe sooner
    • job is stressful - I may be a bit of a drama queen but I've yet to meet anyone who is happy working there and all feel we have too much on our plates
    • parental is ageing - i'm the only one around that will be available should the need arise for care, therefore, giving up job
    • I will pay no more interest to the bank than is necessary :j:T always a good feeling!
    • I like looking at a 5 figure savings pot :D

So with this in mind, i'm back in the game.... off to find motivation!

I used to do them, and got two pay outs, but I gave them up as I was screened out far too often.

I think it's natural in a long haul to feel as if you are running out of steam from time to time. But even though you lost your mojo for a while, you are still doing very well indeed.

I think you've done the right thing, to remind yourself of why you are doing this - it always used to give me the kick I needed to get on with things!

Thanks both for the support :D

I think because there aren't any quick wins or big savings to be had anywhere any more the excitement kind of dies down.. i must be a money saving adrenaline junkie! :rotfl:

Some lovely post received this morning - my guide dog that I sponsor has graduated (I was a bit worried because he looked like a naughty puppy!:rotfl:) but he's now happily homed and I've been given a new one*..

*I know I don't technically fund one dog, but it's nice to put a face to the money you're giving..

Spendy day today - i'd ran out of toiletries so went into town to stock up - total spends £14.78 but everything was on offer so I bought a couple of everything.

There are 3 shops to pick up what I needed so we had a wander round them all and then picked up what I needed at each one that was the cheapest - Superdrug, Boots and Bodycare.

I'm shocked at some of the price differences

The biggest difference was for the cold sore cream i needed, I know Zorivax is hugely expensive so I went for a cheaper brand with the same ingredients

    Boots - £5.69:eek:
    Superdrug - £2.99
    Bodycare - £1.79

Just ridiculous, and these shops are literally a two minute walk away from each other!

I went and spent my £4 saving on some snacks in B&M instead :rotfl:

Managed to get home just before it started sleet/rain/snowing.. think i'll be sitting with a warm cuppa and a film this afternoon :T

I watched "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" :D it's ok for a rainy day afternoon!

I didn't fancy any of the 80's marathon that they've got on channel 5 at the minute.. I thought they might play some iconic ones, but I guess they haven't the licence for them. Quite fancied The Breakfast Club..

I've been feeling the Sunday night dread creeping up so I've tried to squish it by booking our hotel and parking for when we go on hols.. :T

It's come to £150! We are stopping at one of the nicer hotels right next to the airport with parking in that too.. we're not seasoned travellers so I'm happy that we'll be there early and we just have a quick toddle over the skywalk and we're at the terminal. It'll lessen the anxiety for me even though it's costing a bit more than the travelodge/premier inn type places.

Got cashback too :D it wasn't worth it :rotfl:

    Feb Monthly figures
    Outstanding Mortgage £143,636.13
    Family Loan £1,280 (OH's)
    Offset pot - £11,480.83
Approx. Monthly interest saved and OP'd £47.52
New end date - Feb 2029

Total Debt as present moment £133,435.35
    -£1,710.99

Just updated my Fuel spreadsheet too, were just under budget on Electricity and bang on for Gas! I still think we're in debit balance as our direct debit is a bit low, so I've been stashing away the extra money I think we owe.. better sitting in the offset account than in their bank account :D

I will pop back later for a proper update, have to go and visit the father now as he's had an operation and I've spent all weekend running back and forth for him... my spreadsheet isn't working well so I may have to spend the evening messing around with it!
