    Spends coming up
    • Hairdressers - highlights, roots and cut :eek:done, cost was my usual
    • visit to the hygienist to book still to do
    • car tax is due the end of the month I think - must check - £30 only though, bit different to last year! Hurrah, tax isn't up till next month
    • Have a couple of hospital appointments this week, so car park fees and possibly some consultancy fees to pay (hoping my insurance covers it all though)both appointments were free parking, and think the insurance pays out on the consultancy fees, guess I won't be 100% sure until the bill gets sent

I was up with the larks this morning for some reason, so washing got done and on the line for 8  that's never happened in this house before (unless I left it over night by accident:rotfl:)

Popped into town, banked my survey cheque and some lottery money, "bought" some bits from Debenh*ms using my Xmas vouchers and some bits from the grocers - very expensive and not very nice so shan't be using them again.

Came home to have a mooch in the garden, I've been eyeing up some nice planters that I think will finish off the patio nicely - these will come out of OH's pocket though as I paid for the landscaping. He's hoping he can get them from work so possibly we'll get them at cost :T can't decide whether to put functional plants in them or decorative buxus ball things... will have to ponder on that one.

Anyway just came in for a cuppa and to update my banking/spreadsheets.. ;)

    Afternoon,

I've spent the afternoon in the company of new born kittens so i'm all coo-y and [STRIKE]maternal[/STRIKE] caternal now.. i'd love to have bought them home but I don't think it would be fair on our old cat (he's a misery at the best of times :D) He hated his sister and was quite aloof, he only really became a loving cat when she disappeared.

So I've come home from cuteness and caught up with all my money bits, reconciled accounts and started catching up with surveys, one payout due from panelb*se so i'll request that :T

Everything is ticking along nicely, someone at work retired yesterday at 52 so that spurred me on, as well as reading the diaries on here where people are retiring early :T:T it would be a brilliant position to be in and hopefully by starting a bit early we can have the decision to work rather than it being mandatory!

    Hope everyone is good xx

Thanks for dropping by luckyinlife and beanie

Sorry I've not been around much...

Just having a break from[STRIKE] cleaning[/STRIKE] scrubbing the house, it's OH's 40th this week so his family are popping round tonight - was supposed to just be drinks but I've put on a bit of a buffet too, can't let them come in to a dirty house :(

Haven't totalled what's been spent on the celebrations but it won't be pretty, saved where I could - most of the little presents were bought from Amaz0n with vouchers clocked up from surveys, meal out last night was somewhere cheapish <£40 all in for both of us and it was lovely... :D (he picked it, I wasn't just being tight :rotfl:) balloons and decorations were bought from ebay/card factory and cake was homemade :D

I've paid for him to go to Canada in Sept so I made a Canada themed hamper - it included a Justin Bieber book and Michael Buble CD - I've never seen him look so confused until he realised it was Canadian stuff :rotfl:

He wanted chocolate cake so I gave him chocolate cake - topped with choc fudge icing, oreos and chocolate brownies. Cost less than £10 to make... 7069474A-CCA9-4561-BC60-D694A667202E_zps2n7rlmvc.jpg

Anyway best get back to sorting the house out, it's a lovely day here so i'll get some washing out to dry too..

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather if you have it.. i'm hoping i'll last over the weekend so we can start trimming the bushes and mowing the lawns again!

    xx

Thanks Beanie - I was really good and didn't have any of it :A (although I did eat the rest of the tub of brownies I decorated the top with :rotfl:)

    Money stuff -

    - Pay day tomorrow so i'll do some money shuffling :j
    - The car was at the garage today for it's first proper MOT and it passed :T:T so just £35 and now I can get the road tax for the year, £30. Quite impressed with economical-ness of it all :D (the advisory note did say part of the exhaust is corroded though so a cost is coming )
    - £10 voucher ordered from CP - must keep more up to date with this one as it's took a while to reach payout
    - ordered £40 of restaurant vouchers for Brighton trip from Tesc0 :T

    Money spends to come

    - hairdressers a week earlier than normal to cover greys before hols
    - need some new clothes that fit me so a shopping spree is imminent :(
    - owe sister for cousins b'day presents - big birthday so we spent a bit

Off to do a massive catch up on diaries, I've been very neglectful of late :(

Seem to have had a good month, I think most of the saving has come from OH paying me back the rest of the credit card debt he owed to me so from next month this "extra income" will disappear.

Also I had quite a bit of overtime that should have been paid in next months pay packet but I accidently put it on the system a day early, 7 hours was worth quite a bit :o silly mistake but it benefitted me a bit ;)

We had a cheap trip away - just petrol, one meal and a few lunches/snacks and the rest was on vouchers :T or my sister treated us.

I have spent a bit of money since coming home though - I wanted to get some new bathroom bits since I painted it and I noticed that Debenh*ms had a sale on the home section so I got 8 towels, a bath mat and 2 face cloths for £103 using vouchers and the sale prices :T Hopefully the towels will last a long time as they are Christy ones. I always remember my mom telling me these were good ones, not sure if that still applies :p

    Hello

Much spending of money has been done in the moo household the last few days  OH said we've turned into normal people though :rotfl: as most people would spend the money without even thinking about it. I, however, am horrified!

So Thursday night we joined a gym, bit of a discount for joint membership - I intend to swim 3 times a week and maybe do a bit of cardio. I've persuaded OH to swap gyms for me, so that will motivate me to go more.

Friday - I went out with work, cocktails in the city  extortionate prices but lovely bars and company, went out with £55 came back with £3 :( I shan't be out drinking again though, it was good but I haven't drank since I was in my 20's and i'm not bothered about it really, seems a waste of money if I could have the same nice time on Coca Cola for a third of the price :rotfl:

Today - 'bought' some new gym clothes (free with vouchers :D) but desperately needed some new underwear so £40 odd spent there. OH also bought some new trainers, he got them to discount them because of a mark (teaching him well) and a few other gym bits.

So we're off to our gym induction tonight and then we're hoping to set up a habit of going Thursday nights, Friday afternoon and the weekends.. if we go other days as well then that's a bonus!

    Hope everyone's well xx
