Thanks for that MWC, nice to know OH will be able to fit in - I always smile when I see the 500's they're so cute!
I had to google that INOD, they really have got character!
Confession time.. we've just spent £4k  not on a car though!:D
We thought we'd get a fella round to quote for the garden, just a quote though ... when we looked at how much work it would be we realised that it was way beyond anything we could manage and we'd have had to hire mini-diggers and concrete breakers etc.
I obviously picked the most expensive slabs - indian slate - because that's what I always end up doingso I think that's where most of the expense comes from.. the seating area will be 24sq metres
I was expecting the quote to be more like £5k so i'm really pleased (until we have to actually pay over the money).. we're booked in for the end of May :j:j
off to look at garden furniture now with the extra £1k I didn't send on the garden :rotfl:

It's been a mixed day, my money for jury service has come through so £125 to new car pot :j but I've also just picked up my old car from the garage which has cost £200 to be fixed
I'll pay for the car repairs from next months wages I think, it's gone on the credit card for now (got to collect them points :rotfl:) so it'll be ok for a few weeks
We're off out for OH's birthday dinner tonight, cost to be confirmed, but we've already bought some pudding to eat at home afterwards as we didn't fancy any of their desserts and they were £5 each! We're so tight :rotfl:
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
 my brand new tyre that I had fitted yesterday had a blow out on the way to work this morning.. I managed to drive it to work as i was only up the road and a few of the lads have changed it for me but it now has to go back to the garage to be re-fitted for a new one..
I've also got to book the day off as I won't be able to get back and forth to work tomorrow with my usual lifts
Me and the car now have a very bad relationship and i shall be giving it evil looks for the rest of it's future with me :rotfl:
Anyway positive side, i can have a lie in tomorrow :j
No money saving to cheer myself up yet, although i've had some free bread at work and made myself a banana sandwich so i guess that's a bit money saving.
Better get back to it xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

That's rubbish news about the tyre. Do you think you'll get a free one from where you bought it from?

I was driving to work shouting at it :rotfl: people must have thought i'd gone barmy.. really struggling not to go buy a new car but i'm trying to hold off..That's rubbish news about the tyre. Do you think you'll get a free one from where you bought it from?

Not sure yet Peonie, the fella at the garage is going to have a look and see if it was faulty or not. I don't expect him to agree to a free one but we'll see.
The garage didn't keep my car after all, we just left the tyre, so I could have gone to work today.. however, I decided to go grocery shopping instead
Spent £40 but with my £10 off voucher only paid £28.98 and the grocery budget is looking a little healthier. 2 more vouchers to use so another £20 of free stuff :T:T in the next few weeks.
Noticed the cat was a bit poorly today so I've bought some chicken and tuna for him to try and settle his tummy instead of his usual cat foodI hate it when he's not well, but he seems ok in himself so I think it's just a bit of an upset tummy.
Off to do a bit of research in case there's some medicine he should have xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Happy sunny day to you all x
A bit of money spending done this weekend although mostly I've been tidying (and relaxing in) the garden ready for next Tuesday :j:j can't wait to have a proper seating area and a neat garden!
OH finally got round to chopping the damson tree back so we've been able to put the new fence panels in :T it leaves us with only one tree worth of damsons this year.. how ever will we cope :rotfl: and then we've pulled up the fruit bushes and potted them for a few weeks until they can be re-planted.
We'll hopefully get a skip towards the end of the week and get rid of all the old fencing and rubbish but OH will pay for that..
So my spending :- tyre - apparently I must have gone over something in the road and ripped the tyre so I've had to shell out £35 for a new one
- just bought a £25 bottle of wine at Waitr0se  part of a birthday present so I will get the money back but still... I didn't even know wine could cost that much!
- small spend on grocery - £2.66 for milk and cereal that OH forgot to mention when I went Friday *rolly eyes smiley*

Other savings - Car (£356.40) Garden (£5000.00)
Total Debt as present moment £133,992.59(-1,431.87):j
So a good month again, dreading next month once we've paid for the garden  it's going to bump my total up £138k againbut we'll have a nice garden to go and sit out in the rain in.. got to get your money's worth and all that! :rotfl:
Checked out our house on Zoopla earlier as i'd heard on the news there'd been an average 8% house price rise this year.. I assumed that would be loaded more towards that London and other trendier places so i'm happy to see ours has risen by 4.21% anyway. :T If I pop the new price into my spreadsheet then i'm already under the 65% LTV that I need.. Lets hope the BS use Zoopla for their "valuations" they do.. :rotfl:
Hope everyone's dry and happy, I've never seen rain like the monsoon we're having at the minute!

The lovely postman has been again today, he bought me lots of money saving and sanity saving goodies.
- £20 JL vouchers from the N0wtv offer
- normal Tesco clubcard vouchers - £5 (OH's CC)
- special Tesc0 650 extra clubcard points for my CC
- free magazine
- £20.25 received from survey payout - put to car pot
- beaded curtain from ebay - cost £10
I've spent the last few days hoovering up about 60 of the little b*ggers!! it's driving me mad
We popped to Tesc0 this morning.. spent a bit more than we wanted to but we picked up some reduced chickens and casserole beef so works out ok. We spent £46.99 but paid £36.99 with my voucher.. Chicken is in the oven now for tea and the remainders will be used for lunch tomorrow and a pie for later in the week..
Unfortunate spend coming up - the bone in my bra just snapped when I sat down so I think I really need to go and look into buying a few more, this one was my favouritemy others are all a bit tatty..
Off to catch up on some diaries, not read many this week as I've tried to have less time on the internet...
