Thanks Fortune...:D
INOD - :rotfl: anything to make me feel better about how much i'm paying out. My point though, was that the things I'm buying are tangible so to me they are worth paying out for rather than a holiday.. just my personal point of view though(and I don't really like holidays )
Have changed my signature - popped the garden savings excess into the car fund so I now only have to find just over £4k - goal is to pay for it before the end of the year.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Evening all.. what a lovely weekend, so glad the weather turned nice after all that rain!
Well we've been tazzing and tootling around (we don't "drive" anymore:D) in the new car.. it's fab, I'm very grateful that I had the opportunity to get it now. It had some free petrol in it, so our travelling so far hasn't cost me anything :rotfl:will fill up in a few days and see how long it lasts me.
Back on track after my splurges though so -
Grocery budget update for May - managed to spend less in the month but we are still a little overspent YTD.
Monthly spend for May £187/£230
Year to date spend £1291/£3000
Also took meter readings today - we're on track with those so shouldn't be any surprises with the next bill.
Off to make dinner xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning all... very wet day today, the thunder woke me up this morning it was so loud
The MSE in me is happy it's raining as the new turf in the garden needs a lot of water apparently to encourage it to "knit well" (landscapers term not mine!), we had bought a sprinkler and had it on for an hour one of the days  but it was painful watching it knowing I was paying for all the water :rotfl:at least the rain is free :j:j
Nothing much to report money wise unfortunately. I think I will spend the day updating my spreadsheets and checking my recipe books (or Pinterest) for some new, interesting recipes. Bit fed up of the same old food everyday and that's when we start resorting to take-out
ohhh hang on I did a 77p Tillytidy yesterday - there's some money news
Hope everyones ok, keep yourselves dry xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

I've mostly been outside this evening re-planting my plants into the new garden. It's looking a bit bare so i'll have to get some bedding plants I think to fill it a bit

- 31p won on the lottery - put to car loan (I'm going to have this paid off in no time! :rotfl:)
- free netfl*x trial and xbox live trial obtained so I can watch Orange is The New Black (season 2) - although I think it's made OH to want to join properly..:( it would be £112 a year!
- yet to fill up with petrol so my car has lasted me 11 days so far on £40 (and one of those days I was stuck in traffic for an hour!)

I was having a really nice day off until dinnertime.
I managed to break a spatula whilst I was stirring some pasta and my hand got dunked in the boiling waterit hurt a bit but I think the shock really knocked me.. I couldn't stop crying for like 10 minutes!
I've had my hand in an ice compress so it's feeling better now but I shan't be doing that again!
