    Pay Day Shuffle...

    Mar Monthly figures
    Outstanding Mortgage £148,480.63
LTV rate - 65.99% (need this below 65% before Aug)
Family Loan £3,200 (OH will pay this each month)
    Daily interest £16.29
    Offset Savings £14,396.35

Total Debt as present moment £137,284.28(-1,653.19):j

Health goals 8.5lb lost :o oopps I went backwards

Good savings and debt paying off activities this month, bit of a bonus from work, bit of overtime and the council tax free month.. happy with that..

Updated my figures on the MFIT challenge and still way in the green which is brilliant too.. not to rest on the laurels though as work is as usual unsettling :(

We'll not talk about the health goals, other than it was my birthday :p

Hi Jemz :hello: hope I haven't bored you senseless!! :D

The free trials I get from doing surveys - I think Toluna used to give a few free trials but I don't use them now and mysurveys is the last one I had the dishwasher tablets from.

I also joined BzzAgent a while back, you don't get many from them but they're usually the better trials.

The mortgage spreadsheet I use is from Locoblade's original one, link here
    http://www.locostfireblade.co.uk/spreadsheet/Index.html

And finally a tillytidy is a concept invented by the lovely Tilly MFW in 6 Yrs.. we round down our current accounts into our savings so that we have nice round numbers :T so if you have £532.13 in your account then you'd put the £2.13 into your savings so you have £530 in your current account.

You can do this everyday or just occasionally like I do..

Hope that's helped.. fire more questions at us if you need to.

    :D

No I have really enjoyed reading your diary! Is there any other diaries that you read?

I actually have seen that spreadsheet and must get all my figures set up... how do you record tour random over payments?

Also you seem to track a lot of other spending, how do you track that?

Thanks for all your help so far!

Hi Jemz, I don't have a very complicated spreadsheet, not compared to some - i'm a simple girl :D

I have one spreadsheet with different tabs for each thing I track so -
    • current account spends
    • savings accounts
    • Bills
    • groceries
    • survey vouchers earned
    • debts - this one is OH's tracker for his debt to my dad
    • mortgage
    • and at xmas I add another tab for presents
It's literally a list of what I've spent split into categories for each month so nothing fancy.

I popped to Waitr0se this morning for a few bits for the week, came in at £41.47 so under my £50 budget for the week. :T:T

I also paid with £40 vouchers so actually cost to me was £1.47 but I've decided to count the full amount in my grocery spends, otherwise it skews my records. I'll put the £40 into the savings pot instead :j:j

In scarey news, they're opening a new retail park which is on my home from work  it has a well know home/bedding store and shoe shop so far, my favourite type of shops.. must stay away, must stay away!!! Although I do need some new boots and maybe a new rug and some pictures :rotfl::rotfl:

off to catch up with everyone x

It's been a quiet day today.. OH has Man flu so he's spent the last few days in and out of bed eye-rolling.gif let's hope he makes it! ;)

I've spent the day pottering, made some cranberry-almond granola and also some chicken noodle soup (it kills man-flu bugs apparently) and haven't been out anywhere so no spending for me:j

    Money savings this weekend
    • signed up to N0w TV for the JL voucher - wanted to watch a couple of the films anyway, this way I make money doing it :T and I've recorded the pruchase on CP
    • Homemade granola cost me £1.44 to make - this will last me about 30 servings as I only have a sprinkle of it on my yogurt and it has a lost less sugar than bought stuff
    • the chicken soup cost 50p to make (and used up some manky veg in the bottom of the fridge) 4 portions made so lunch is already prepped for tomorrow :j
    • all surveys caught up with
That's it really, nothing too interesting this weekend..

Hope everyone's had a great few days of rest and relaxation xx

If you dont mind I would be grateful to see what your spreadsheet looked like (minus all the personal details obiviously). I have started so many in the past and they just have not worked and would love to really get stuck in to MFW as we have now moved to our forever home!

Hi Jemz, do you want to PM me your email address and I can send it across, that's the only way I can think of doing it and keeping the formulae in there for you...

I've managed to pick up a great voucher when I filled up with petrol at Sainsbugs yesterday - £20 for a 12 month delivery pass :D (usually £100)

I've been trying to move away from Tesco deliveries lately because ours is a bit rubbish but Sainsbugs delivery was always a bit expensive for me... anyway my voucher now means that the delivery will be at a brilliant price :j

I intend to use it once a fortnight which means each delivery will cost just 76p, it would cost us £2 in petrol to go ourselves!

I've added the cost to the grocery budget so we are now running at £132 over budget for the year  This is mainly due to the butchers trip and buying food for a family get together for Mother's day on Sunday.

I think maybe we need to stop eating... :rotfl:

    Morning all..

Feeling virtuous this morning as I got up and did the Davina in 15 dvd, 2 sections - lots of these :j:j:j:j:j

My legs feel hurty now though.. :rotfl:and I've only had a banana for breakfast so i'm really hungry!

Second pay day today - well OH got paid - so a bit of money shuffling and my savings pot (does that need an apostrophe?) is nearly back up to the level it was before I did my big overpayment at Christmas :T:T I'm hoping to get another £5k in there before I apply for my offset mortgage in August.

Also sorted my R*C membership, we use clubcard vouchers so works out totally free, we did have to call them out a few weeks back so I think it's money well spent :D

Off out now, to have a skip in the sun.. well a slow ambling walk with my muscles aching :rotfl: who said exercise was good for you!
