Oh, I know I will regret it when I am crushed by the raging stampede of people buying on the last weekend before Christmas!

May have to do the old money in a card present?!:o

Usually I am super organised - maybe my OH is rubbing off on me!

However, I have sorted out one more present for my younger sister.

So just 13 to go now.

Generally in my family they tell each other what they want or at least give options. Now I need them to tell me what so I know what to budget for.

Amaz0n wish lists are the way forward in our family!!

I'd recommend having one, you can now put anything on your wish list from any internet site too.

I go shopping for a few surprises, I hate shopping though, but most items are bought through the wish list! At least I know people want the items I buy :D

5 days till the :xmastree: goes up :j

I use the Wish List throughout the year so I don't forget whatI'd like. I'm trying to get others to use it.

Money shuffling done this morning as OH has been paid :T
    • massive credit card amount paid off  mainly car insurance and dentist though!
    • £150 towards Dad debt
    • £300 into savings
    • the rest I've left to pay for Xmas! :j
Money savings hasn't happened this week :o it's mainly been money spending!
    • £15 B0dy Sh0p - voucher again - mainly xmas presents this time though
    • £6 Thort0ns - had a £10 voucher to get some stocking fillers with, went over a bit :o
    • £38 food shop
    • £19 on extra xmas decorations :santa2:
    • £24 on a Christmas cardigan - needed (kind of) for xmas buffet at work and xmas buffet at home
    • £22 on Domino's - no excuse, was at a funeral and wake all day so decided to treat ourselves
Ohhh just thought of some money saving - I thought my head lights had gone on my car, it would have been £18 for a new bulb! Turns out my headlights were just caked in mud and a bit of water and soap means I can see again whilst driving :rotfl::rotfl:
It's Christmas tree day tomorrow in our house :xmastree:Mr Snowman, Ginger and new Mr Santa are already on their shelves so i'm part way done already :rotfl:We're off to H0mebase tomorrow to get some double glazing film for the windows upstairs, i'm sure they have a lot of lovely xmas decorations too :o:rotfl:may have to slip some more in the basket!

Well what a busy week, sorry I haven't been around!! Must catch up on everyone's diary in a bit...

It's been my busy week for me, few hours overtime clocked up again..

    Other money savings :
    • Dental plan have sent my first cheque - £49 will bank on Monday and then put in savings
    • £5 Hal1fax reward, £8.04 NW interest moved to savings
    • £50 youg0v payout :j now starting from 45p again :(:rotfl:
    • migraine today meant I couldn't go xmas shopping - that's saving isn't it :rotfl:
    • free trial pack of cereal from a survey
    • free lunch/breakfast at work again
    • off work on Monday - £5 saving on petrol
    Money spending :
    • £20 on xmas presents ordered online (couldn't get it off Amaz0n with my vouchers as they didn't have the right size)
    • £25 on takeaway tonight - no excuse :( - need to stop this takeaway habit we seem to have started!
Last weekend we spent £30 at H0mebase buying insulating type things for the house, we got some foil for behind the radiators and film for the windows.

I've already put the foil behind all the radiators and filmed one of the windows. I think we can feel a bit of a difference already but it may just be all in the mind!! Lets see if it makes a difference to the bills!!

    Have a good weekend xx

Random quick question, if anyone can help. Can I buy some sort of posh pate that will last and not need to be put in the fridge? I'd like to put some in the hampers but as i'm not a pate eater I have no idea how you buy it :o or how long it lasts!

    Did you buy pate?

I thought of you yesterday when I was in Lidl - they have 6 little jars of pate in a box (in their deluxe range) for £3.49.

    Linky thing here
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Thanks MWC, I haven't bought any yet, but they'd be ideal! It means I can put one in a few of the hampers then Oh can have some pate for his Christmas treat too.

He loves pate but it's not something we have in the house as I don't eat it and he wouldn't eat a whole pack to himself! These look like the ideal size.. :T
