    Evenin' all..

I've completed my list made on Friday :j I love it when a plan comes together!

I've spent this evening reviewing all my spreadsheets and seeing what I've been spending in 2013, it's nice to see that we've reduced bills where we can and in the case of fuel bills, reduced usage but it's because of the price increases they're still costing roughly the same.

So my 2013 goals that I set were :
    • Clear the rest of the family loan (approx £10k) done my bit :T
    • Meet my MFIT target of £15k for the 1st year (£10k family loan, £5k offset to mortgage)done with £3k extra
    • Cut down on grocery spends again!done - a little bit - £30 on average less a month
    • trf any voucher savings or cashback amount to offset mortgage done for most months, lost track along the way:o
    • Open a new ISA and new regular savers to stash my offset money opened a new ISA, however didn't bother with the regular savers this year
    In addition to these
    • my overall reduction of debt was £18,761 :T up 16.4% on 2012
    • my cashback/surveys earnings were £822, up 71% :T
    • Insurances and other bills reduced by £535, down 11%:T
If we could do this again next year then i'll be happy!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Thought i'd put my 2014 Goals in a separate post
    • Reach MFIT target for the year - £11,518.33 to keep in the green
    • save all overtime payments
    • find a new mortgage deal but stick to repaying the same amount
    • save all my vouchers for Xmas/Birthdays this year - mostly amaz0n, but some Sainsbugs, Deb*nhams and Th0rntons too
    • complete my spending diary every day - no wayward cash spending this year!
    • do an electronic declutter - shutting accounts that are no longer used/needed
may add to this if I see any other on the forums I want to [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] borrow.. :D

I've just made my big overpayment :j:j:j:j:j

But I'm In Brighton for the weekend so I can't update my spreadsheets :(

Hopefully by Monday the payment will have gone through and I'll be £5,500 less in debt :j:j deducting it from my signature shows me at just over £150k so next months payment will take me under the £150k Mark

    :j:T:j:T so excited :rotfl::rotfl:

Very excited this morning to open a letter from my mortgage peeps, it was the receipt for my overpayment which I was expecting but they also showed my new balance and it is....

    £ 149,944.43

    I've broken the £150k barrier already :j:j:T:T:j:j

The money for my overpayment didn't go out the bank until the 30th so that's when I updated my spreadsheet but the mortgage people have applied it on the 27th which means I've had 3 days less interest :T so my calculations were different.(and my spreadsheet is slightly off by £10 ish :rotfl:)

And my end date has now moved to April 2031!

On the not so MFW front - I've been out for the food shopping this morning and "treated" myself to some M&S ready meals :o i'll be working long hours the rest of this week and will have to eat at work surrounded by the usual pizza, bacon sandwiches, chips etc.. even though this is free I can't eat any more cr*p so I've planned around it by getting some nice food in.

Also not on the MFW front - a couple of fence panels have completely blown away so we'll be replacing the whole fence as it's mostly rotten - approx. cost £250:eek:

So a good day and a spendy day but we're still entering the New Year positively so

HAPPY NEW YEAR for tomorrow, lets hope this new year brings much joy and happiness for all!
