  • Gosh... I'd be totally happy with all homemade stuff. Far more thought, time, planning goes into homemade presents. Why not next year go exclusively homemade... with confidence!

    Nov Monthly figures
    Outstanding Mortgage £155,995.01
Family Loan £4,000 (OH will pay this each month)
    Daily interest £17.11
    Offset Savings £15,705.44

Total Debt as present moment £144,289.57 (-1,024.42)

Need to order the most of my Xmas presents tonight then i'm pretty much done except for some stocking fillers.:j

    Money saving :
    • took out a free Amaz0n prime trial, well it would be rude not to!
    • Dad gave me £50 towards xmas (and £50 for my present so I've ordered some make up, body shop groupon thing and a magazine subscription)
That's it really :rotfl: done a few hours overtime at work too so that'll add a bit to the pot.

Thanks MRN, I would love a homemade hamper too!! Unfortunately I never make one for myself :rotfl:

    Great news!

    That's 21760.43 from your start mortgage of 166050. :T

You're making me feel bad about Christmas - I haven't even started!! _pale_

Didn't get overtime approved this month so will now have to wait until Dec payday. Not ideal as that was meant to kick start the Christmas budget....

I've also paid off the £10k family loan to my sister so I've actually reduced everything by £31,760:j:j it's nice when you see it like that :D

I'm usually much more organised than this when it comes to Christmas :rotfl: I feel panicky now, I can't imagine not having started - see that's made you feel better :rotfl:

So today is a "stay at home waiting for deliveries" day.. however, most of my deliveries came yesterday whilst I was at work :doh:these blooming efficient companies :D so I only have to wait in for one thing, then I have to go and post my tickets that I sold :j

So money saving/stuff to do :
    • £1.06 ordered from Imutua1 - done
    • cancel my Tesc0 delivery saver trial - done
    • renew car insurance - £213 - budgeted for £300 :j renewed with last years insurers, couldn't find any cheaper!!
    • chased CP for a voucher I haven't received - £10 - done
    • post tickets to buyer - £88
    • post off second dentist claim - £49 - filled out but not posted
    • buy Dad's b'day present - £30 (but have £20) vouchers
    • catch up with surveys etc
    • catch up with diaries :o
Think that will give me enough to do for the day - i'm a bit lurg-ed up at the minute too (nasty coldsore on my lip, so i'm everso attractive :rotfl:)so i'm going to snuggle on the sofa with my blanket and play on the internet whilst I wait for my order to arrive!!

Have a good day - it's FRIDAY!!! xx

I had the same thing this year too. Far cheaper to stay with them... and also slightly less hassle as no need to prove no claims.

Yep usually I'm the kind of person that has it done by September, but last year with the house move and renovations it got done on Christmas Eve! This year, I don't even have Christmas Eve off, so sweating. _pale_ Just got 13/15 presents to buy though, so not too bad..... maybe... cough cough.....

Hope you have a good rest today

I felt a bit naughty for just renewing but if it's the cheapest then I don't see why not.. it does cut all the hassle out definitely!!

You have important things to pay for at the minute, once that's done i'm sure you'll wallop that mortgage!

Well my ONE parcel has literally just arrived so I've sat around all day waiting for no reason  i'll have to go to the Post Office tomorrow and post the tickets instead.

And because I've spent the day surfing on the internet I've spent some money that I probably didn't need too :o although the cat will be dashing this Christmas with his new bow tie collar!:rotfl:

Shopping day for us today :
    • £23 on a xmas present for OH
    • £0 on a cardigan at Debenh*ms, reduced to £20 and I had £20 in vouchers :j
    • £7.50 in Benefit - £10 voucher used
    • £15 in Bodyshop - £15 off a £30 spend voucher used
    • £5 in B0dycare - for vitamins and cold sore cream - same branded products in b00ts nearly cost me £14:eek: but I put them back quick!
    • £6 in Waitr0se for lunch bits :o but better than having a Subw*y each
    • £81 at Tesc0 - includes xmas goodies and cake ingredients for work
    • £30 signed up for a trial of the Phi*ips light-up alarm clock, I was looking into buying one anyway - this way means I've saved £20-30 and I've had it as one of my Xmas presents anyway
So a bit of a spendy day but it was all needed and I tried to get the most for the money I spent.
And I managed to post my tickets off at last, so £88 to come through around the middle of December :j

A no spend day planned for tomorrow definitely!!!

    xx
