  • B&M do cans of sandwich tuna for just 20p. It is small flakes of brownish meat and whilst I wouldn't eat it my cats go wild for it.
  • To Rita Rabitt

If it's not sold in Tesco's or Asda it's not going in my cat. I'm not pretentious enough to give them anything fancy and he is as happy and healthy as could be
  • Hi we have 2 cats, both indoor.

They have Whiskas senior/gravey bought in bulk when it's on offer at 48 pouches for £10
They also have access to Go Cat also only bought in bulk on offer at £2 instead of £4 I mix this with pound shop cat food to make it go further.
They have occassional tuna chunks from 99p shop which is for 3 tins, but normally just one tin per week.
We have other animals so buy wood based chimmey pellets, by the tonne and store in the shed for 6 months, basically the litter for all of the animals costs £230 for 6 months, and I would not change the litter. We tried the clay one when we were given a damaged bag of Asda own brand but it was awful in comparison to what we are used to.

I'm looking into the better quality food online.

currently i have one big cat who eats about 700g of wet food, 200g of dry food.
Hes a big strong heathly looking boy, not much fat on him but he does eat alot don't you think?
  • That's a hell of a lot of food unless he is really active.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
  • Not sure what that says about our cats :D they have 1.5 pouches of wet food each (a day) which is about 1050g of food a week (each)! The dry food is regularly topped up for them to eat when they feel the need to although if the kittens had their way they would much rather have the wet food topped up all day long :p

I'm happy to say that the toothless cat is now on cat food (hopefully permanently) :T and tuna cat is currently eating Felix Seafood AGAIL :j

Am thinking I might have to order some more of that Felix while it is still at £8.99 for 48 pouches but knowing my luck they will turn their noses up at it by next week!

Holy moly that is a lot of food! Nearly 2 big tins a day? And a load of hard food.

Switching to a better quality food should benefit him.
