Not sure your experiences paint it in a positive light..

You've already Implied the Women are part time escorts looking for quick hook ups.

and the men have serious hangups about what kind of relationship they are wanting in terms of the contradictions you posted last time round.

As for Tykesi - messaging without any dates happening isn't actually dating... The women on okcupid (if real and in this country) are likely to be escorts...

Ah- didn't realise that- hadn't checked it yet so won't try it now. Badoo seems to have an incredible number of good looking women which does make me wonder if those are real pictures of them

It does have attractive women on it, but I dunno if they're all fake. I actually spoke to a few women on there who seem genuine, but never met with them. The woman I met was genuinely looked like her photos. It isn't that bad, but it's decent.

Badoo is awful, full of scammers.

Id avoid it like the plague.
  • I'm taking a break from online dating and deleted my accounts, may try again after the summer

OKcupid i liked the layout and the way the site worked but there weren't that many men within 50 miles of me

POF i got bored of quite quickly, there's a good selection of people on there but i found that most only really talked for a couple of days and then just disappeared

Badoo is mostly full of men looking 'for a bit of fun' but there are some decent men on there and that is probably the site i had the most 'success' on

Ok so I am going to take the plunge and join a dating site, but which one? There are so many, but all seem to be quite expensive.

I don't want to join one thats free for women and not men as I think I would be way outnumbered and then not stand a chance.

What do you think ? (I'm female by the way):)
you definitely don't need to pay , or even for men to pay to meet you, so many free ones out there. despite companies trying to charge for this, your computer at any one time is connected to zillions of others and therefore other people - charging therefore is not a credible business model and the free ones know this and get their revenue from advertising instead which is a valid business model when you are dealing with millions of people

they work too - I know people in long happy relationships having met on the net, it's also neither sad nor desperate, it's actually the way it was meant to be done, best means to the end, and as slick & efficient as anything! imagine a bar with 100 million people in it at once where you're not paying for drinks, how much more likely is Mr Right going to be in there somewhere than your local where you're picking from a crowd of under 50!

    good luck!
