18 months on and life is still good. A definite POF success in my house! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I'm still with mine, it's been two years and three months since we first made contact on POF :-)
Also know of a friend who met her boyfriend of a year on match.com0 -
It's been nearly 2 years for us, still going good
another POF success so far hehe
And
I convinced my best friend to try POF and he met the most awesome girl who quickly became his girlfriend and they've been together about 8 months nowThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Delighted to hear your success has lasted Ali-t , Sapphireeye & MessedUp, that is fantastic news :j
I'm still proving to be undateable here, so sorry to put a downer on the thread :rotfl: although to be fair, I haven't been trying very hard in the last 6 months. Not logged on to my POF account for a while to get my dose of abusive messages from random men as I can do without that. The only thing that is stopping me from deleting my account is that it took me so long to set up in the first place & I keep hoping that one day, it may work. In some parallel universe when I have more time/money/a babysitter....
There are certainly are several real local men on POF as I "know" some of them (no, not like that) & their profiles do appear to be fairly truthful - as in they really are divorced & do live/work where they say they do & their photos are genuine (if possibly a few years out of date, but not too different). So potential daters can take some comfort from knowing their are genuine men around.
And now for another instalment from the JKS humorous stories about dating archive - are we all sitting comfortably....
A few months ago my book club decided to try a new pub to meet in for a change, & 6 of us ladies all turned up together. None of us had been to this pub before.
After getting drinks we told the "singles night is in the bar".
To which the book club organiser replied "thanks, but we're all here for a book club meeting, & all married".
Another friend piped up to me "X is still single, maybe she'd like to go to the bar?". I started to laugh with her when a male voice yelled "no thanks, we can see why she's still single".
Another ground swallow me up please moment for JKS - although my friend was also mortified & so apologetic (I had free drinks all nightbut I'm not convinced the humiliation was worth it).
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

I always liked adultfriendfinder. If you already tried that one, you could also check the top 10 dating sites on theporndude.com. They have the best ones listed there.
Hope you find a match0 -
I tried wildbluedating.com recently, and met some pretty cool girls already. Talking to another about meeting up. It's a pretty fun site too, has games to play as well. I'd recommend that site, I've had positive feedback with it0

Hi all, gave up on POF last year as no one was answering messages and went to Oman to work. Back for a month or so and thought I'd see if POF was any better so I updated the photos and profile. Sent plenty of messages asking things about their profile etc but still no joy. Most just deleting without even reading the message. So soul destroyed again !
I also tried Zoosk- linking it through facebook but I have to say I'm pretty unimpressed with it. It takes ages to load up, the suggestions they give me are pretty far away most of the time and it seems to get stuck giving the same name and locations when I do the carousel option.
All in all I think I might as well give up again and become a hermit.Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0 -
PoF is horrendous, I think there are so many guys on there the women just get bored of the constant messages. Having to trawl through hundreds just to get one decent message must be frustrating. I've still got an active profile on there but haven't actually used it for months.
Okcupid seems to be better, the women on there to me seem to have a bit more about them and my reply to message rate is much higher on there than it ever was on PoF. Nothing has come of it yet but there are usually a few new members a week so I can usually find one or two with similar interests who I can message.0 -
Cheers Tykesi- it's very discouraging when you make an effort with your message and it either gets ignored or deleted without reading. I'll try okcupidDivorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0
