See i can't agree here. I don't want to read an essay but one line, to me anyway, smacks of not making an effort.
I bit the bullet and signed up to OkCupid (just for a look, not after anything serious yet) and the messages I've had so far are woeful. One today couldn't be bothered with even basic grammar and he got my name wrong.
Oh, and he put 'xxx' at the end :undecided

Its far better to keep the emails short and sweet and more frequent. One liners are absolutely fine.:)
I totally disagree with this. I tend not to answer one liner e-mails as I think it shows a total lack of effort.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

Meanwhile, on this side of the fence, I'm in full agreement with you.
There seems to be an awful lot of ladies (probably men too) that either can't (or can't be bothered to) hold a conversation.
