I know, I bet there are some normal guys but so far it's all been weirdos for me on there. Can't win, I get abuse for not responding, abuse for politely declining. It is a shame.0 -
I'm here for profile reviews if anyone wants one, not ready to start looking again for myself yet x0

XxmessedupXx - it's horrible when you're waiting for someone to make the first move isn't it? To be honest though, I've found that if the bloke is keen then you will always hear from him- I know that some people think that women have as much 'right' to initiate contact first or arrange the dates, but I think that men still like that feeling of being the 'chaser' rather than the 'chasee'.
I think this is why when you're not interested in a man, and you don't bother replying as quickly or you seem a bit distant, they seem all the keener! I know it's hard, but playing it cool is really the best option- just remember the bottom line is that if they're interested then you'll hear from them (and you save any heartache of messages being ignored)
It's not game playing- it's that I don't think men read so much into situations or analyse texts or emails the way that women do- they're more black and white; if they like someone they go for it, if they don't then they won't...!
I bought my friend that book "He's Just Not That Into You" and we always try and remember that when we're wondering why some guy didn't ring when he said he would after a seemingly great date...!
Hope you did hear back from him though!0 -

Something similar happened to me, just joined up on POF and had no idea what I was doing! I viewed someones profile and they messaged me saying "viewing and leaving without sending a message". There was a bit of banter and then in about her 4th message she asked me if I was going to ask her out... later that day! (I'd only been on the site 12 hours!)Anyone get the same cut and paste to 100000 people messages on there like:
"Hi, was just viewing your profile and something really clicked with me...etc...etc"
Oops, that might have been me :rotfl: but it's so hard to type a one off message to someone you don't know (for me anyway!) Much easier talking to people though when I'm in the flowguardianangel wrote: »I know, I bet there are some normal guys but so far it's all been weirdos for me on there. I can confirm there definitely normal people on thereI'm here for profile reviews if anyone wants one, not ready to start looking again for myself yet x
Lisa, you mean like a CV review to help us improve? Or judgement on someone we're not sure about? :rotfl:0 -

Like a CV reviewI have done a couple and once they made little changes they bagged dates.
It can help to have someone else look at your profile and give an honest opinion, there is a review section on pof but it is mainly for the Americans and they have some strange views on dating and can be really rude.0 -

OK, I'm up for that - it can't do no harm (unless you're a secret devious so-and-so)
How can you find me though? I'm only on POF at the mo.
I already know mine is rubbish. I'm quite witty with things I say - but when it's enscribed on your "About Me" section it often can come across as arrogance or wierdness (like a joke about my height I want to make! - I'm above average don't ya know)

Ooooh I want to nosey!
I have/had a POF profile but I forgot the log in, and I hadn't even put the right info up, It was to send a message to someone, and I kept getting harrassed by messages :rotfl: my picture was a bumblebee hah!0 -
What do you do if someone has viewed your profile and you quite like the sound/look of them?
Does it mean they have looked at your profile and don't think you're their type or they don't message because their shy, scared of rejection? Ahhhhhhh! I don't think I'm cut out for this:p0
