I don't mean that in a bad way! I think you should cast a wider net using online dating sites, as it starts non-committal and you can just go from there.
From your first post though it does sound like you may already have some doubts!
I guess I expected some to reply 'Oh I met someone online who lives a distance away and it's worked out great' etc lol
But deep down I think I knew it wouldn't work for me, don't worry that decision wasn't based on what you said!0 -
Getting bored of the whole online dating thing to be honest.
Full of idiots and fakes.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0 -
Hello guardianangel,
My friend is using the following sites, all of these are free, but you can upgrade on a couple of them I think, although she hasn't felt the need to. Freedating.co.uk POF, smooch.com,OK cupid. they do vary and we find that she has to do a search once a week on each one to keep it fresh, the paid for sites she has joined keep on sending emails all the time, it actually gets me fed up as I have to wade through them, because of her dyslexia and the fact that she is using our pc, because she doesn't have internet access at the mo!! We have found that the paid for sites send her far more unsuitable men than the others, they will be either out of her age range, in some cases by 25 years!! Or they will be out of her preffered type, and this is very specific to her, because there are less of the men that she wants to meet maybe that is why we may have to work a bit harder?0 -
I used dating sites about 4 or 5 years ago, i had a profile on plenty of fish & match.com.
I messaged a few girls and got replies, never met any of them in person though.
In the messages i sent i always asked about their hobbies and about things we had in common i.e jobs, sports, whether they lived locally to me.
Unfortunately, my photo let me down!! I have a cleft lip and palate so not the good looking guy they were hoping for..
When i've moved out of my parent's house next month, i may try again. wish me luck..0 -

Don't get too worried that it may be your looks holding you back, I have had conversations with guys I wouldn't really say were attractive to me and they sometimes are the ones to ignore me in the endI have only really started on the dating websites in the past couple of weeks.
I look at all the things that have been said on here, and everyone seem like decent people so there MUST be more of us out there somewhere!
Good luck!0 -

Arrghh
Ok, so the guy i went on a date with is on facebook chat, and i want to talk to him BUT i dont want to be the one to initiate conversation again because i'm worried about coming on too strong (and figured if he wanted to talk to me, he would). Though he doesn't seem to want to talk to me so maybe i should just chalk it up to expereince and forget about it

Has he spoken to you yet?I think this is one of these things that keep us all back...will I make the first move or wait until the other person does? It is a tricky one
Depending on how brave I'm feeling that day, I do try sometimes to chat first, even just saying hello! How are you today?0 -

Might be thinking himself 'better not push to fast because it may make me look too keen/the stalker type'.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0
