For someone who is very modern in thinking on lot's of things I'd say Runningwoman has a very old fashioned view on that subject.

I'd also say you over think the reasons of why a man wouldn't pay for the first date. If I was dating personally I would always offer to pay on a first date, but in truth I probably wouldn't expect that to be accepted these days. Although I'll admit to being an old fashioned sort.

Listening to some of the younger lads in my office they don't offer, often as they've been blasted by dates in the past for trying to do so as attempting to "buy" the ladies affections. Some seem to take it as an insult.

Three years, not seven since my ex left me. I guess that actual dating part of that would have been around the early 90's though!

Plus I always offered to pay on dates. Even with my no doubt rusty dating skills (if I ever had any dating skills to start with) I wouldn't say a guy not offering has issues, in the same way a woman expecting them to pay isn't automatically a gold digger. Oh look, I can do cliches too!

Being single and chaste (by default of being single) comes easy, requires absolutely no effort on my part. Plenty of time to get training in.

Most men like to go out on a first date then think they can just come and sit round your house after that...
They all seem to be incapable of making decisions about where to go and what do...

Do any of you know if Match.com is a regular on Quidco? There is a good offer on at mo for cashback but it expires end of Feb. I go on hols then for 2 weeks so seems a bit pointless signing up now, so wanted to wait til I come back! But don't wanna miss out on the cashback

I couldn't say for sure about Match, but most Quidco deals tend to reappear every few months.

I joined last night and have had so many messages and when I responded with a 'sorry, I do not feel we are suited and good luck in your search', because most who sent me messages were twice my age, I get abuse back. But I did hit off with one guy and hopefully be meeting up for a drink so fingers cross....
