what are the best value dating sites?

Well, I've been on pof about 3 weeks now, been chatting to a few people. Took the advice on here about how you can chat to someone for weeks, get on great, then when you meet up you find it was a waste of time.

So I bit the bullet and met up with this guy I've been chatting to. We got on great (or so I thought!), lots of chat & laughter - he wasn't my 'type' but I'm only looking for friends really. Texted him when I got home to say thanks it had been nice to meet him (I always do that with my mates etc) - not heard a thing so I obviously didn't meet his standards :rotfl::rotfl:

He did say that he'd met about 100 people over the 10 years he'd been on dating sites :eek::eek: which has made me reassess why I joined pof in the first place. Some deep thinking going on :cool:

I have come to the conclusion that there are people who do this almost as a long term hobby! The have no intention of settling down.

Sorry I've not posted for a while folks.

The girl I had a date a with did reply, apologised for her texts ( big thumbs up in my books for doing that) she's just really stressed out from her uni assignments. She has asked to see me again- Great.

Not sure were its going cause she is really really ambitious and has applied for a job with at The Hague.

Bit of background for you, she's originally from Switzerland, is here doing a MA in languages and teaching languages while here.

She has sad come September she doesn't know were she is going, so it might not be a full on thing or long term but its going great right now, I'm not going to think about that yet and I'm just going to let things go which ever way they want.

And I've not been on OKCupid since I met her. Not even felt like I should.

Chin up everyone- If shrek here can get someone (sort of), then anyone can- It just takes time.

Im getting a bit disheartened everytime i suggest we should meet to the men ive been chatting to they go all quiet. They seem really keen until i say ok go on then lets do it. Was supposed to meet someone this weekend unfortunately he suddenly decided to be busy one can only laugh loudly about it.
Positive thinking is needed here!

I got a guy chatting to me now who I dated before.
He just came back on out of the blue!
Said he is having a stressful time at work and hasn't been on POF for ages!

Another POF person here. Been on before but have just rejoined.....so many of the faces are familiar lol.

I've recently been majorly stung by someone I met in the real world which means having belief in strangers on the internet is even more difficult.

I didn't know we were over until he posted a relationship status update on Facebook saying he was in a relationship with someone else! Thought that only happened to teenagers not 40-somethings :rotfl:.....can almost see the funny side now.

PP did I read you were in Glasgow? I'm quite near there so we are probably fishing in the same pool!
