what are the best value dating sites?

well i signed up to OKcupid after readin about it on here, set it all up yesterday, only have one pic on there from my birthday last year cos i hate pics of myself lol. Today ive had a fair few messages and so far one is looking quite promising we've been chatting on there all night and hes said he'll have a drive over next time i go to watch the footie at a local pub, he's only a few miles away! Fortunately for me its a pub where everyone knows me-safety aspects of meeting a stranger covered!! we're talking about exchanging numbers!!!!!!!!

Question I have now is how do people deal with the weird messages? I had one today that was an essay, seriously long!!!! And it came across as very smary-he was all how as soon as he looked at my profile he was attracted to me and thought 'youre the kind of girl all men look and and think i wanna be with'...........really wanted to say well obviously im not since im on a dating website!!!!

He may just have difficulty with what to say...first messages are hard.
He is perhaps trying too hard!

Well, another week has gone by and my poor mate has had some real keepers! We are finding that they are either obviously playing away from home by the excuses used re where they are living and who with,(elderly Mother/ bedridden Father, so you could never visit me here...too upsetting for them) or they are control freaks to the max, one bloke said to her ten minutes into the FIRST telephone conversation, 'you wont look for anyone else now will you? now you've got me'!!! !!!!!!?!!! He wanted her to take her profile off there and then lol! What they fail to realise is that they are dealing with a 51 year old WOMAN not some poor wet behind the ears teenager!! Maybe I should have posted this on the praise vents and warnings board!!

well ive scored myself a date!! yay me!!!

The guy from okcupid who messaged me, we swapped numbers and have been chatting and flirting non stop today and i just thought what am messing around at-ask him out!!!! so i did-and he said yes!!! :)we're going for a drink in a town nr to me, my best mate knows and ill make sure she has times etc to check in with me. But im soooo excited i cant wait!!!! first date nerves are kicking in already-im sooooo out of practise at this lol!!! Now the major dilema-what to wear lol!!!!!

I have met someone too! He's fantastic!!
Had a date with him at 4pm and he finally left me at 2am!! :heart2:

He has been texting me and emailing every day since!!
