  • Contacts are not a problem I have loads of them as Im a member of mx5nutz.com. I have spotted one on ebay for buy it now at £100 but have to view it and I wont be buying one that has splits or tears, getting a used one with glass window. Ive taped the tear up with duck tape which will protect the inside of car.

Date was ok, he drove right past me even though i was wearing a short dress and high heels, picked me up we had the curry, he didnt even comment i looked nice, had a few conversations while eating and it was friendly chat, but i felt nothing at all. Dropped me back off and peck on lips but didnt fancy him. Texted him this morning and he felt the same so no more dates.

I paid for my own meal too only £15 incl drinks. Good value. I guess that I wasnt that attractive to him.
    Still searching.

    Never mind...they'll be more dates!

Well think I may have messed up after a great first date.
Came home from work, phone almost flat so put it on charge, went down stairs, came back up about and hour and half later, 2 texts 1 asking how I was, then another saying never mind I thought you were decent but clearly not.

I've replied apologising saying it was on charge upstairs and I didn't hear it down stairs, but had no response back :(

Back to square one all because my phone was up stairs on charge

Reminds me of my nightmare date last year. We had been out a couple of times - and after spending all day with her on the Saturday, with plenty to drink - i had a long lay in on Sunday.

When i come in i always shove my phone in a drawer downstairs.
I got up at lunchtime, and found a message at 8am - "had a great time - what you up to".

Unfortunately, another message followed at 8.15 "are u there". Another at 8.50 "what have i done". 9.30 "i thought we had a good time - clearly you didn't". 10am "i'm not into games - so just answer the effing fone". 10.30 "oh sod it ****** - your not worth it - don't ever phone me again" 11am "you ok - for all i know you could be in hospital"?

I didn't call back and have just been polite and civil since, and thats it. Her friends say i messed her around. I say i had a lucky escape :rotfl:

I knew her next date - and he suffered the same harrassing texts/emails - although he keeps going back.
  • I have met someone too! He's fantastic!!

i think I may give up now!!

Sorry to hear that, PP. Don't give up though, just because it didn't work this time.

I second that. Every guy I've met so far we've got on like a house on fire and both wanted to meet again. But without fail after a second date either I've decided I didn't want a third or they did.

But I'm meeting a new guy on Wednesday and am preparing to start the rollercoaster all over again! The way I see it, I'm meeting people I would never normally get to meet in day to day life and I've nothing to lose and everything to gain. Although I must admit I think you've get to develop fairly thick skin for this internet dating business.

Keep at it, girl, who know's what's right around the corner? ;)

That's the best attitude to have...good on you!
It's amazing how quickly it can turn from "Oh wow, he seems fantastic" to "Oh my god....."
    LOL!

I am getting more thick skinned at this game..but it doesn't stop you feeling disheartened from time to time though.

Have met my date 6 times now, stayed over his on Friday night. He is such a good guy and although I wasn't 100% at first I'm thinking things could grow as I get this 'humph' feeling once I'm back at home etc.

That's great Lisa! Hopefully I will get to 'date number 3' with someone soon!

Has anybody heard from Scotty? I don't think he's been on here for a while. Did he have a second date?

Last time he made contact on here was 18th Jan

Hey, perhaps he has met the love of his life and run off to Gretna Green!! LOL!
