Yay good news.
3rd date with the guy I met tonight he wanted to see me after my ordeal last night as he was worried, he is so kind and understanding and he doesn't push things.
I'm just not used to it but can see it going into the friend zone.
Oh thats great Lisa!!!

Ok so today my first date in months. Nice guy 49. we chatted on pof, works for same company i used to work for and that my late father worked for. so talking about life and i mentioned i loved summer with the roof down on my car, he said so do i. I say what have you got, he says mx5, I say so do I!
Likes the same things I do, lots in common. Average looking but I never go for good looking men. Like his chatty personality. I bought coffee, walked back to both cars he looked at mine I looked at his. I asked if he wanted to meet again he said yes. So hes taking me for a meal in a weeks time on the saturday as Im working this sat. Taking it slow and cool.:D

Go for it! I was on match a couple of years ago and I spent literally months chatting to people via email and then messenger and then on the phone before meeting them. After meeting them it was obvious the spark wasn't there and I felt like I'd wasted the past 3 months!
Since joining POF a few weeks ago I've been on 4 dates (but they were 2 second dates so only met two guys) but don't regret going on any of them. I used to feel mega nervous before going on a date but now I've got back into the swing of dating it's given me a real confidence boost and now I just get a few butterflies rather than full-on anxiety!
As long as you're safe and you always tell a friend exactly where you're going and roughly what time you'll be home. You've nothing to lose, get yourself out there! Best thing I ever did.0 -

We have had a laugh though, my poor DH has sat here totally bemused by our guffawing at some gentlemen's protestations of their age when their photos patently tell a different story, or a photo taken in the bathroom, is that the only door with a lock on it in their house??? (just in case the missus is busy watching corrie, and they want to sneakily get the photo sorted). I really hope I can help her to find someone she is such a nice person and deserves at last to have some good times in her life!!0
